En d\u00e9pit d\u2019une forte progression du taux d\u2019emploi des femmes, des \u00e9carts importants entre les genres persistent sur le march\u00e9 du travail. L&rsquo;article et la vid\u00e9o publi\u00e9e par la Banque Nationale de Belgique analyse ces \u00e9carts au travers du prisme de la parentalit\u00e9. A regarder ici!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Quitter son emploi ou r\u00e9duire son temps de travail est un choix essentiellement f\u00e9minin. Dans un cas comme dans l\u2019autre, il s\u2019agit d\u2019options qui p\u00e9nalisent les femmes en termes d\u2019opportunit\u00e9s et de salaire. Pour les hommes, au contraire, l&rsquo;effet de la parentalit\u00e9 est neutre, voire constitue un incitant \u00e0 travailler davantage. En d\u2019autres termes, aujourd\u2019hui encore, les femmes sont confront\u00e9es \u00e0 un compromis entre avoir des enfants et faire carri\u00e8re, ce qui n\u2019est pas le cas des hommes. Le recours \u00e0 ces possibilit\u00e9s est per\u00e7u comme un signe de moindre attachement au march\u00e9 du travail, ce qui renforce encore les st\u00e9r\u00e9otypes de genre.
