Et pourtant un quart des employ\u00e9s (25%) n&rsquo;en re\u00e7oit jamais. Ils sont tout aussi nombreux (27%) \u00e0 en recevoir au moins une fois par semaine. C&rsquo;est ce que r\u00e9v\u00e8le une enqu\u00eate de Protime. \u00c0 l&rsquo;occasion de la \u2018Journ\u00e9e Mondiale du Compliment\u2019 (le 1er mars),le sp\u00e9cialiste de la gestion du temps et du personnel a interrog\u00e9 1.000 employ\u00e9s belges francophones. Il est int\u00e9ressant de constater que pr\u00e8s de neuf personnes sur 10 (86%) d\u00e9clarent f\u00e9liciter r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement leurs coll\u00e8gues pour leurs accomplissements.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Quelques mots accompagn\u00e9s d&rsquo;un sourire\u2026 Rien de tr\u00e8s compliqu\u00e9, mais effet garanti au travail : deux employ\u00e9s sur trois (67%) indiquent que les compliments restent une vraie source de motivation. Se voir appr\u00e9ci\u00e9(e) dans son travail renforce aussi l&rsquo;implication individuelle : selon 60% des collaborateurs, cela les rend plus productifs.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMoins de six employ\u00e9s sur dix (57%) se consid\u00e8rent valoris\u00e9s au travail. Cela laisse une fameuse marge d&rsquo;am\u00e9lioration\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em> juge Sophie Henrion, porte-parole de Protime. <em>\u00ab\u00a0L&rsquo;importance d&rsquo;\u00eatre compliment\u00e9 ne doit pas \u00eatre sous-estim\u00e9e. Un feedback constructif de la part de coll\u00e8gues et de sup\u00e9rieurs hi\u00e9rarchiques peut nous motiver davantage sur notre lieu de travail. Le compliment devrait alors se voir ancr\u00e9 dans la culture de chaque entreprise. En outre, l&rsquo;approche aide l&#8217;employeur \u00e0 fid\u00e9liser son personnel.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Doit-on pour autant tomber dans l\u2019usage \u00e0 r\u00e9p\u00e9tition \u00ab d\u2019une tape amicale dans le dos \u00bb \u00e0 la moindre occasion? Certainement pas! Quelque 7% des employ\u00e9s indiquent qu&rsquo;ils n&rsquo;aiment pas se voir f\u00e9licit\u00e9s pour leurs r\u00e9sultats ou leur intelligence. Quant \u00e0 ceux qui appr\u00e9cient ces formes de reconnaissance, ils pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent les recevoir de coll\u00e8gues (26%), d&rsquo;un manager (40%) ou de clients (21%). L&rsquo;enqu\u00eate montre en outre que les compliments sont le plus souvent exprim\u00e9s en face \u00e0 face (62%), par courriel (22%) ou encore lors de r\u00e9unions en ligne (16%).<\/p>\n<p>\u00catre compliment\u00e9 pour notre travail nous rend plus motiv\u00e9s et plus productifs ? Cela s&rsquo;explique de fa\u00e7on scientifique. <em>\u201cLes r\u00e9actions positives dont nous b\u00e9n\u00e9ficions ont pour effet d&rsquo;activer le circuit de r\u00e9compense de notre cerveau, lib\u00e9rant ainsi davantage de dopamine, l&rsquo;hormone de la r\u00e9compense. Afin de ressentir encore et encore ce \u00ab\u00a0shot\u00a0\u00bb de dopamine, nous sommes amen\u00e9s \u00e0 r\u00e9p\u00e9ter le m\u00eame comportement. Celles et ceux qui appr\u00e9cient les compliments au travail seront donc naturellement plus dispos\u00e9s \u00e0 accomplir une mission difficile ou stressante que celles et ceux qui ne re\u00e7oivent aucun encouragement,\u201d<\/em> explique Lode Godderis, professeur de m\u00e9decine du travail \u00e0 la KU Leuven.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Comment recevez-vous des compliments li\u00e9s \u00e0 vos r\u00e9alisations professionnelles ?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Face \u00e0 face (62%)<\/li>\n<li>Par courriel (22%)<\/li>\n<li>Au travers d\u2019une r\u00e9union en ligne (16%)<\/li>\n<li>Par t\u00e9l\u00e9phone (14%)<\/li>\n<li>Par SMS ou WhatsApp (7%)<\/li>\n<li>Par courrier postal (4%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Si plus d&rsquo;un quart des personnes interrog\u00e9es (27%) d\u00e9clarent ne jamais recevoir de compliments, 86% disent en formuler aux autres. Pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 des employ\u00e9s (43%) en exprimeraient \u00e0 l&rsquo;intention de leurs coll\u00e8gues au moins une fois par semaine.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Recevoir un compliment est aussi un art<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ceux qui appr\u00e9cient d&rsquo;\u00eatre compliment\u00e9s quant \u00e0 leur travail sont nettement majoritaires. Mais plus d&rsquo;un tiers des personnes interrog\u00e9es (38%) indiquent que ces f\u00e9licitations les mettent mal \u00e0 l\u2019aise. 21% des employ\u00e9s se sentent quelque peu g\u00ean\u00e9s et vont ignorer le compliment, tandis que 9% n&rsquo;y r\u00e9agissent tout simplement pas.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Comment r\u00e9agissez-vous lorsque vous \u00eates compliment\u00e9 ? \u200b<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>J\u2019accepte le compliment en exprimant mes remerciements (66%)<\/li>\n<li>Je minimise (21%)<\/li>\n<li>Je r\u00e9ponds par un compliment (14%)<\/li>\n<li>Je ne r\u00e9agis pas (9%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u201cLorsque vous recevez un compliment, acceptez-le avec plaisir et gratitude. Prenez conscience qu&rsquo;il est m\u00e9rit\u00e9. Vous pouvez \u00eatre fier de ce que vous avez r\u00e9alis\u00e9 !
