Selon la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tude belge* bas\u00e9e sur des infections av\u00e9r\u00e9es au coronavirus, r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par IDEWE, Acerta, la KU Leuven et UHasselt, seulement 1,4% des personnes souffrant d\u2019une infection au coronavirus s\u2019absentent pour maladie pendant plus de 12\u202fsemaines.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Selon l&rsquo;\u00e9tude du service externe de pr\u00e9vention men\u00e9e aupr\u00e8s de quelque 3.000 travailleurs ayant souffert d\u2019une infection (au coronavirus et \u00e0 d\u2019autres maladies infectieuses), dans seulement 1,4% des cas, le coronavirus a oblig\u00e9 les travailleurs \u00e0 s\u2019absenter du travail pendant plus de 12\u202fsemaines.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019impact du COVID-19 a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9norme et a fait augmenter sensiblement le taux d\u2019absent\u00e9isme au sein des entreprises. En outre, le COVID long a d\u00e9clench\u00e9 un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne inqui\u00e9tant\u202f: il est rapidement apparu que de nombreuses personnes pr\u00e9sentaient encore des sympt\u00f4mes tels que la fatigue, le manque de souffle et les maux de t\u00eate des semaines, voire des mois apr\u00e8s avoir contract\u00e9 le COVID-19, bien plus que dans les cas d\u2019infections virales classiques comme la grippe. <em>\u00ab\u00a0De nombreux observateurs s\u2019attendaient logiquement \u00e0 ce que le COVID long ait un impact important sur l\u2019absent\u00e9isme de longue dur\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em> explique Lode Godderis, CEO d\u2019IDEWE et professeur en m\u00e9decine du travail \u00e0 la KU Leuven. \u00ab\u00a0<em>Notre \u00e9tude montre n\u00e9anmoins une tout autre image.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Il s\u2019agit de la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tude belge* qui se base sur des infections av\u00e9r\u00e9es au coronavirus et qui \u00e9tudie \u00e0 la fois l\u2019absent\u00e9isme dans les situations b\u00e9nignes et graves. 2.569\u202ftravailleurs belges souffrant du coronavirus ont ainsi \u00e9t\u00e9 interrog\u00e9s pour savoir s\u2019ils ont d\u00fb prendre un cong\u00e9 de maladie, et si oui, pendant combien de temps. Il est apparu que seulement 1,4% des infections au coronavirus ont conduit \u00e0 une absence de plus de 12\u202fsemaines. <em>\u00ab\u00a0Ce n\u2019est certainement pas plus que dans le cas d\u2019autres maladies plus classiques, comme la grippe\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, compl\u00e8te Lode Godderis. <em>\u00ab\u00a0Si l\u2019on examine les travailleurs souffrant d\u2019une autre maladie infectieuse \u00e0 la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode, 4,3\u202f% d\u2019entre eux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 absents pendant plus de 12\u202fsemaines. Le COVID long g\u00e9n\u00e8re donc moins d\u2019absences de longue dur\u00e9e que ce que l\u2019on pouvait craindre \u2013 un r\u00e9sultat surprenant. En outre, 16% des travailleurs positifs au coronavirus n\u2019ont pas pris de cong\u00e9 de maladie du tout, en partie gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la possibilit\u00e9 de t\u00e9l\u00e9travailler.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Continuer de mettre l\u2019accent sur la r\u00e9int\u00e9gration<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0En marge des r\u00e9sultats de cette \u00e9tude, nous devons continuer d\u2019investir de mani\u00e8re proactive dans la r\u00e9int\u00e9gration\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em> insiste Lode Godderis. <em>\u00ab\u00a0Le COVID long et les sympt\u00f4mes persistants \u00e0 la suite d\u2019autres maladies infectieuses ont un impact important sur notre vie et sont \u00e0 la source d\u2019une charge mentale consid\u00e9rable. Au niveau des entreprises, mais aussi des d\u00e9cideurs, il est possible d\u2019am\u00e9liorer la politique de r\u00e9int\u00e9gration en faisant la part belle \u00e0 une approche personnalis\u00e9e et en tenant compte de ces r\u00e9sultats.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Source: IDEWE &#8211; * \u00c9tude r\u00e9alis\u00e9e aupr\u00e8s de 2 569 travailleurs en Belgique ayant pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 un test PCR positif au SARS-CoV-2 entre juillet 2020 et septembre 2021.\u202fL\u2019\u00e9chantillon n\u2019est pas repr\u00e9sentatif de la population belge active en raison d\u2019une surrepr\u00e9sentation du groupe des travailleurs flamands et des travailleurs du secteur non marchand.
