Alors que la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration Z et les mill\u00e9niaux sont souvent critiqu\u00e9s pour leur utilisation du t\u00e9l\u00e9phone, leurs habitudes de travail r\u00e9v\u00e8lent une autre r\u00e9alit\u00e9 : ils pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent souvent la communication num\u00e9rique et h\u00e9sitent \u00e0 passer des appels.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Selon une \u00e9tude r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par le sp\u00e9cialiste du recrutement Robert Walters, les jeunes professionnels &#8211; y compris la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration Z (n\u00e9e entre 1997 et 2012) et les mill\u00e9niaux (n\u00e9s entre 1981 et 1996) &#8211; privil\u00e9gient le courrier \u00e9lectronique et la messagerie instantan\u00e9e pour les communications li\u00e9es au travail. L&rsquo;\u00e9tude r\u00e9v\u00e8le que 59% de ces jeunes travailleurs pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent ces m\u00e9thodes aux appels t\u00e9l\u00e9phoniques, et 50% admettent ne pas se sentir \u00e0 l&rsquo;aise pour passer des appels professionnels.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 est essentielle pour ces jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, puisque seuls 16 % d&rsquo;entre eux consid\u00e8rent que les appels t\u00e9l\u00e9phoniques constituent une utilisation efficace du temps et que seuls 14% les utilisent comme principale m\u00e9thode de communication. Cette pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour les communications textuelles a conduit \u00e0 ce que nous appelons \u00ab t\u00e9l\u00e9phonophobie\u00bb, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire un malaise croissant \u00e0 l&rsquo;id\u00e9e de passer ou de recevoir des appels.<\/p>\n<p>En revanche, les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations plus anciennes, telles que la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration X (n\u00e9e entre 1965 et 1980) et les baby-boomers (n\u00e9s entre 1946 et 1964), continuent de privil\u00e9gier la communication directe et interpersonnelle. L&rsquo;\u00e9tude montre que 49 % de ces travailleurs plus \u00e2g\u00e9s pensent que la diminution du nombre d&rsquo;appels et de r\u00e9unions pourrait nuire aux relations d&rsquo;affaires.<\/p>\n<p>Asia Skifati, associate director chez Robert Walters, note que si les jeunes professionnels sont adeptes des outils num\u00e9riques, cela peut parfois se faire au d\u00e9triment d&rsquo;interactions personnelles significatives. Les jeunes professionnels, souvent qualifi\u00e9s de \u2018natifs du num\u00e9rique\u2019, savent utiliser la technologie pour communiquer, ce qui am\u00e9liore la productivit\u00e9 et la commodit\u00e9. Cependant, l&rsquo;inconv\u00e9nient est la perte potentielle des rapports personnels que les interactions en personne ou par t\u00e9l\u00e9phone peuvent offrir, explique-t-elle.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Comprendre l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 li\u00e9e au t\u00e9l\u00e9phone<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>L&rsquo;augmentation de l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 li\u00e9e au t\u00e9l\u00e9phone va de pair avec le passage \u00e0 la communication num\u00e9rique. Les personnes souffrant d&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 li\u00e9e au t\u00e9l\u00e9phone peuvent ressentir du stress, une acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration du rythme cardiaque, des naus\u00e9es, des tremblements et des difficult\u00e9s de concentration lorsqu&rsquo;elles passent des appels. Cette forme d&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9coule de la crainte de g\u00eaner ou d&rsquo;incommoder le destinataire de l&rsquo;appel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Lutter contre l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 li\u00e9e au t\u00e9l\u00e9phone sur le lieu de travail<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Pour lutter contre l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 li\u00e9e au t\u00e9l\u00e9phone et \u00e9quilibrer les pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences en mati\u00e8re de communication, Asia propose plusieurs strat\u00e9gies :<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Occasions de s&rsquo;exercer :<\/em><\/strong> Offrez aux jeunes professionnels des environnements contr\u00f4l\u00e9s pour qu&rsquo;ils s&rsquo;exercent \u00e0 la communication t\u00e9l\u00e9phonique.
