La r\u00e9ponse est probablement oui. C\u2019est pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable en tout cas. Comment peut-on absorber les probl\u00e9matiques de nos coll\u00e8gues si nous n\u2019avons pas ni le recul ni la s\u00e9r\u00e9nit\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaires? Probl\u00e8me : en tant que personne, manager ou coll\u00e8gue, nous passons tellement de temps \u00e0 essayer de nous comprendre nous-m\u00eames, \u00e0 nous d\u00e9finir et parfois m\u00eame \u00e0 nous r\u00e9inventer, qu\u2019il est peu \u00e9vident de se consacrer aux autres. Si ce travail auto-centr\u00e9 se poursuit sans rel\u00e2che, comment se pr\u00e9parer au mieux pour se concentrer sur celles et ceux qui ont besoin de soutien ?<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ce dont il est question, c\u2019est notre capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 entrer en relation avec chacune et chacun dans nos organisations respectives. Le c\u0153ur du m\u00e9tier du People Management, c\u2019est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment cela. Il y a des choix de valeurs, des orientations strat\u00e9giques, des d\u00e9cisions quotidiennes pour assurer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 du collectif. Mais avant tout cela, il y a un imp\u00e9ratif qui consiste \u00e0 \u00e9couter et comprendre les aspirations de chaque collaborateur afin de pouvoir lui offrir un environnement et un challenge \u00e0 la hauteur de ses ambitions. Une t\u00e2che colossale, chaque jour renouvel\u00e9e, qui exige id\u00e9alement d\u2019avoir r\u00e9solu les trois questions suivantes.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Int\u00e9grer la dynamique de confusion des sph\u00e8res priv\u00e9e et professionnelle<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>La r\u00e9alit\u00e9 du travail aujourd\u2019hui se construit, pour un nombre de fonctions de plus en plus important, sur la mani\u00e8re dont les dimensions personnelle et professionnelle se compl\u00e8tent ou s\u2019entrechoquent.<br \/>\nLa confusion s\u2019installe, c\u2019est un fait. Cela veut dire, pour chaque travailleur soucieux de \u2018ma\u00eetriser\u2019 son rapport \u00e0 travail : choisir ses heures et ses lieux de travail, mais aussi le niveau d\u2019intimit\u00e9 consentie avec chaque coll\u00e8gue, peu importe qu\u2019il y ait relation hi\u00e9rarchique ou pas in fine. Chacun.e met le curseur l\u00e0 o\u00f9 cela lui convient, en prenant conscience des avantages et des inconv\u00e9nients.<\/p>\n<p>En acceptant que les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s et contraintes priv\u00e9es puissent entrer en collision avec les imp\u00e9ratifs li\u00e9s au boulot, nous entrons dans un niveau sup\u00e9rieur de complexit\u00e9 lorsqu\u2019il s\u2019agit de soutenir un collaborateur. Cela entre plus fort encore en r\u00e9sonance avec nos exp\u00e9riences propres. Et c\u2019est notre tol\u00e9rance face \u00e0 des choix et des modes de vie diff\u00e9rents qui est mise \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve. Il faut \u00eatre pr\u00eat \u00e0 les accepter.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Lutter contre l\u2019\u00e9go\u00efsme ambiant, en commen\u00e7ant par soi-m\u00eame\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Nous devons par ailleurs nous m\u00e9fier de ce que nous appelons le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne de projection. Une erreur que nous commettons fr\u00e9quemment sur le plan manag\u00e9rial consiste \u00e0 projeter nos propres ambitions sur des collaborateurs qui n\u2019ont rien demand\u00e9. Les pros du People Management sont bien s\u00fbr les premiers invit\u00e9s lorsqu\u2019il s\u2019agit de sortir de son petit cercle et d\u2019\u00e9viter de tout ramener \u00e0 soi\u2026<\/p>\n<p>A l\u2019\u00e9vidence, l\u2019effort est important dans cette p\u00e9riode o\u00f9 l\u2019\u00e9go\u00efsme est puissant. Que ce soit sous l\u2019effet du repli sur soi ou de l\u2019hypertrophie de l\u2019ego, le \u2018moi je\u2019 figure en bonne place sur la liste de nos soucis quotidiens. Essayons donc de ne pas entretenir cette qu\u00eate de domination personnelle en \u00e9vitant d\u2019imposer nos r\u00e9f\u00e9rentiels sur ceux de nos pairs (et oui, c\u2019est vraiment tr\u00e8s difficile \u00e0 faire !).<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Trouver son point d\u2019\u00e9quilibre, le travail d\u2019une vie<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Pouvoir \u00eatre totalement concentr\u00e9 sur les autres, cela exige de savoir exactement qui nous sommes, avec nos forces et nos faiblesses. Et de pouvoir s\u2019extraire d\u2019un questionnement existentiel sans fin. Serons-nous un jour r\u00e9ellement pr\u00eat, tant il est \u00e9vident que ce travail de connaissance de soi, suivant les pr\u00e9ceptes des philosophes anciens tels que Socrate* n\u2019est jamais termin\u00e9 ? Comment savoir donc que les conditions r\u00e9unies pour nous consacrer pleinement \u00e0 autrui ? A quel moment la magie se produit-elle?<\/p>\n<p>Cela se passe lorsque, dans un \u00e9lan de g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9, on accepte de ne plus \u00eatre le centre de la conversation. Attention, ce n\u2019est pas pour autant un don de soi d\u00e9sint\u00e9ress\u00e9. Ce moment correspond \u00e0 l\u2019expression d\u2019un int\u00e9r\u00eat authentique \u00e0 la connaissance de l\u2019autre, dans une d\u00e9marche quasi scientifique de compr\u00e9hension des mod\u00e8les de pens\u00e9e et des leviers qui animent nos interlocuteurs. Travailler sur l\u2019humain revient ainsi \u00e0 entamer un processus de recherche sur un mat\u00e9riau vivant qui d\u00e9tient un pouvoir extraordinaire, une comp\u00e9tence rare, une \u00e9nergie rare\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Pour franchir ce cap, il est bon de savoir qui l\u2019on est. \u00catre heureux, bien s\u00fbr cela peut aider m\u00eame si nous savons que cela ne dure pas n\u00e9cessairement tr\u00e8s longtemps.
