Cela manque de romantisme \u00e9conomique et d\u2019envol\u00e9e narrative. Mais nos entreprises ont avant tout besoin de ce pr\u00e9cieux bon sens terrien et d\u2019une prise de conscience urgente de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 quotidienne dans laquelle vivent leurs travailleurs. Lorsque celle-ci est p\u00e9nible que ce soit sur le plan de l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 mat\u00e9rielle ou sur celui de la sant\u00e9 mentale, qui peut intervenir? Nous ne pouvons en tout cas ni l\u2019ignorer, ni pr\u00e9tendre avoir r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 tout. Reste alors l\u2019objectif raisonnable consistant \u00e0 avoir un impact positif sur la vie de celles et ceux qui en expriment le besoin. Et ce n\u2019est pas une mince affaire\u2026<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Le r\u00f4le du leader gagne chaque jour davantage en complexit\u00e9. Les domaines qu\u2019il faut ma\u00eetriser aujourd\u2019hui sont tellement divers que le r\u00f4le qui consiste simplement \u00e0 diriger devient un repoussoir. Est-il encore pertinent de vouloir prendre en mains le sort d\u2019autrui pour finir par se plaindre par l\u2019individualisme g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9 et les contradictions multiples affich\u00e9es par celles et ceux qui nous entourent? M\u00eame les esprits sain(t)s risquent de s\u2019y perdre\u2026<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Toujours bon \u00e0 rappeler: la gestion d\u2019une entreprise et d\u2019une \u00e9quipe n\u2019a rien d\u2019h\u00e9ro\u00efque.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Dans l\u2019imaginaire qui r\u00f4de autour du monde de l\u2019entreprise, il y a toujours cette repr\u00e9sentation du manager, forc\u00e9ment isol\u00e9, pliant sous le poids des responsabilit\u00e9s comme si le monde entier d\u00e9pendait de sa prochaine d\u00e9cision. Ce n\u2019est pas la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Les moments-charni\u00e8res et les grandes inspirations sont rares. Ce ne sont que des exceptions.<\/p>\n<p>Le leadership est avant tout l\u2019accumulation de petites d\u00e9cisions mineures et c\u2019est cela qui explique toute l\u2019importance de cultiver la constance et la coh\u00e9rence dans l\u2019encha\u00eenement de ces \u00e9v\u00e9nements insignifiants. La capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9p\u00e9ter nos actions et \u00e0 les perfectionner \u2013 ce que nous appelons l\u2019artisanat au fond \u2013 a bien plus de valeur qu\u2019un coup d\u2019\u00e9clat. Aussi, le levier de motivation sur lequel s\u2019appuient encore bien des s\u00e9ances de team building n\u2019est plus op\u00e9rant. Le d\u00e9passement de soi n\u2019est plus la finalit\u00e9. C\u2019est d\u2019affirmation dont il est question aujourd\u2019hui. \u00catre soi, tout simplement malgr\u00e9 les contraintes et la comp\u00e9tition.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Pourquoi le concept de \u2018leader vuln\u00e9rable\u2019 reste-t-il un pi\u00e8ge \u00e0 \u00e9viter?<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>M\u00eame si le mythe du super-h\u00e9ros s\u2019est effondr\u00e9, son parfait contraire (juste quelqu\u2019un.e de normal.e) n\u2019est pas le bienvenu. Cet autre mod\u00e8le, souvent pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 comme celui du leader affichant sans crainte sa vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9, n\u2019a pas remport\u00e9 les suffrages. De quoi s\u2019agit-il ? D\u2019une repr\u00e9sentation du leader hyper empathique, naturellement sensible et terriblement proche\u2026<br \/>\nLe projet qui visait \u00e0 installer ce mod\u00e8le au rang de nouveau standard a \u00e9chou\u00e9. Parce que le fait d\u2019afficher nos propres faiblesses n\u2019a jamais rien g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 de positif sur le moyen et long terme. Nous ne sommes pas lib\u00e9r\u00e9s des enjeux du pouvoir, raison pour laquelle les leaders vuln\u00e9rables partent souvent avant m\u00eame d\u2019\u00eatre balay\u00e9s par la concurrence ou la gouvernance, faute d\u2019avoir r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 occuper l\u2019espace autrement.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Quelle d\u00e9finition pour le pragmatisme en mati\u00e8re de leadership?<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Puisque ni l\u2019une (h\u00e9ro\u00efque), ni l\u2019autre (vuln\u00e9rable) ne fonctionne vraiment d\u00e9sormais, quelle est donc la solution que nous souhaitons privil\u00e9gier au moment d\u2019entrer en 2025? Nous voulons du pragmatisme. Ce n\u2019est certainement pas ce que l\u2019on appelle souvent \u2018la solution du milieu\u2019, celle qui vise \u00e0 trouver l\u2019\u00e9quilibre ou l\u2019alternance entre la force et la faiblesse, entre l\u2019omnipr\u00e9sence et l\u2019effacement. C\u2019est quoi alors ?<\/p>\n<p>Retour rapide au dictionnaire : le pragmatisme est une doctrine philosophique selon laquelle n\u2019est \u2018vrai\u2019 que ce qui fonctionne r\u00e9ellement. Le crit\u00e8re de v\u00e9rit\u00e9 retenu pour une id\u00e9e, une th\u00e9orie, une m\u00e9thode est sa possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019action sur le r\u00e9el.<br \/>\nCela nous ram\u00e8ne bien entendu \u00e0 la notion de l\u2019impact. Mais aussi au partage du principe de progr\u00e8s. Nous sommes l\u00e0 pour que cela change (id\u00e9alement, en mieux !). Et pour y arriver, il faudra \u00eatre mobile, \u00e7\u00e0d capable de donner la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 la transformation de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 lorsque celle-ci ne r\u00e9pond plus aux attentes. De ne jamais se contenter des faits accomplis. De ne pas se r\u00e9signer face aux blocages.<\/p>\n<p>Ramener le leadership au niveau terrien, dans les tranch\u00e9es du r\u00e9el, ne peut pas plaire \u00e0 tout le monde. A commencer par celles et ceux qui s\u2019\u00e9vertuent \u00e0 poser la question du sens au travail qui, c\u2019est vrai, nous exasp\u00e8re. Nous pensons que, dans de nombreux cas, ce sont des \u00e9tats d\u2019\u00e2me r\u00e9serv\u00e9s \u00e0 des profils nantis et d\u00e9sabus\u00e9s.<br \/>\nFace \u00e0 la d\u00e9t\u00e9rioration du pouvoir d\u2019achat des travailleurs et \u00e0 l\u2019explosion r\u00e9p\u00e9titive des co\u00fbts de personnel, il y a un r\u00f4le \u00e0 jouer pour des leaders pragmatiques qui comprennent ces probl\u00e9matiques et s\u2019en emparent avec un bel app\u00e9tit. Sommes-nous pr\u00eats.
