Des entreprises belges ont \u00e9galement re\u00e7u de telles lettres.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>D\u00e8s l&rsquo;apparition de ces informations, le SPF Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res a imm\u00e9diatement pris contact avec l&rsquo;ambassade des \u00c9tats-Unis. La Belgique a exprim\u00e9 sans ambigu\u00eft\u00e9 ses pr\u00e9occupations et examine \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent les implications juridiques pour les entreprises concern\u00e9es. La question est non seulement de principe, mais aussi juridiquement pertinente : l\u2019ambassade des \u00c9tats-Unis doit respecter la l\u00e9gislation belge dans ses actions. Si des contrats venaient \u00e0 \u00eatre r\u00e9sili\u00e9s uniquement parce qu\u2019une entreprise s\u2019engage en faveur de la diversit\u00e9 et de l\u2019inclusion, cela pourrait constituer une violation de la Convention de Vienne sur les relations diplomatiques.<\/p>\n<p>Le Vice-Premier Ministre et Ministre des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res, Maxime Pr\u00e9vot, r\u00e9agit avec fermet\u00e9 : <em>\u00ab\u00a0Il est profond\u00e9ment regrettable que les \u00c9tats-Unis, dont l\u2019administration \u00e9tait autrefois \u00e0 l\u2019avant-garde de la d\u00e9fense de valeurs communes telles que la diversit\u00e9, fassent aujourd\u2019hui marche arri\u00e8re. La Belgique, en revanche, ne reculera pas d\u2019un millim\u00e8tre. Nous restons r\u00e9solument engag\u00e9s en faveur d\u2019une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 inclusive, o\u00f9 les entreprises ont la libert\u00e9 d\u2019attirer, de soutenir et de faire grandir les talents. R\u00e9duire la diversit\u00e9, c\u2019est se limiter soi-m\u00eame et compromettre son propre avenir \u00e9conomique.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>La diversit\u00e9 et l\u2019inclusion ne sont pas de simples id\u00e9aux, mais des piliers fondamentaux d\u2019une \u00e9conomie forte et d\u2019une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 dynamique. Elles favorisent l\u2019innovation, renforcent la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 et permettent aux talents de s\u2019\u00e9panouir pleinement. <em>\u00ab\u00a0Ceux qui consid\u00e8rent l\u2019inclusion comme un obstacle ne comprennent pas qu\u2019elle est en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 un levier de progr\u00e8s\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em> souligne Pr\u00e9vot.<\/p>\n<p>Le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral belge est clair : l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des chances est un principe central de l\u2019accord de gouvernement et demeure un pilier in\u00e9branlable de notre politique. Saper les programmes d\u2019inclusion ne nuit pas seulement aux entreprises concern\u00e9es, mais aussi \u00e0 la coop\u00e9ration plus large entre l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne et les \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0La Belgique continuera \u00e0 d\u00e9fendre, au sein de l\u2019Europe, un monde entrepreneurial ouvert et inclusif\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em> conclut Pr\u00e9vot. <em>\u00ab\u00a0Nous d\u00e9fendons nos valeurs et notre mod\u00e8le \u00e9conomique, fond\u00e9 sur la coop\u00e9ration, l\u2019innovation et le respect des talents de chacun.
