En Belgique, l\u2019\u00e9cart salarial s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve toujours \u00e0 7,0%, apr\u00e8s correction pour la dur\u00e9e de travail. Sans correction pour la dur\u00e9e de travail, il atteint 19,5%. Dans le secteur priv\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9cart salarial corrig\u00e9 atteint 10,1 %, et 24,5 % sans correction. Ces in\u00e9galit\u00e9s s\u2019expliquent par divers facteurs : le travail \u00e0 temps partiel, l\u2019\u00e2ge, le niveau d\u2019\u00e9tudes, l\u2019\u00e9tat civil et la composition du m\u00e9nage, la nationalit\u00e9 ou l\u2019origine, ainsi que la s\u00e9gr\u00e9gation persistante sur le march\u00e9 du travail.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Derri\u00e8re ces moyennes se cachent des diff\u00e9rences importantes selon les statuts et les secteurs. Parmi les diff\u00e9rentes cat\u00e9gories de travailleuses, ce sont les ouvri\u00e8res du secteur priv\u00e9 qui font face \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cart salarial le plus important. Concr\u00e8tement, une ouvri\u00e8re du secteur priv\u00e9 gagne en moyenne pr\u00e8s de 20 % de moins par heure qu\u2019un ouvrier apr\u00e8s correction pour la dur\u00e9e de travail.<\/p>\n<p>Michel Pasteel, directeur de l\u2019Institut pour l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des femmes et des hommes, analyse: <em>\u201cLes ouvri\u00e8res constituent un groupe particuli\u00e8rement expos\u00e9 aux in\u00e9galit\u00e9s. Les aides m\u00e9nag\u00e8res ou encore les ouvri\u00e8res de production exercent souvent des emplois pr\u00e9caires, \u00e0 temps partiel, et dans des conditions de travail exigeantes. Les salaires modestes accentuent leur vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Une mesure phare pour r\u00e9sorber l\u2019\u00e9cart salarial<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>La directive europ\u00e9enne sur la transparence salariale, adopt\u00e9e en mai 2023, vise \u00e0 lutter contre la discrimination en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration et \u00e0 contribuer \u00e0 combler l&rsquo;\u00e9cart de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration entre les femmes et les hommes.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e8s juin 2026, les entreprises seront tenues de communiquer sur les crit\u00e8res qui d\u00e9terminent la formation des salaires et les processus de promotion et d\u2019augmentation au sein de l\u2019entreprise. Elles devront aussi \u00e9tablir r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement des rapports sur l\u2019\u00e9cart de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration entre les femmes et les hommes au sein de leur organisation et prendre des mesures correctrices si un cas d&rsquo;\u00e9cart de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration de plus de \u00e0 5% est constat\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La transposition de la directive en droit belge est actuellement en discussion. C\u2019est une opportunit\u00e9 majeure pour r\u00e9duire l\u2019\u00e9cart salarial.
