Une nouvelle \u00e9tude d\u2019International Workplace Group r\u00e9v\u00e8le que 44% des travailleurs \u00e0 temps partiel souhaitent reprendre une activit\u00e9 \u00e0 temps plein, \u00e0 condition de pouvoir b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de flexibilit\u00e9. Ces r\u00e9sultats sont particuli\u00e8rement pertinents pour la Belgique, o\u00f9 23,2% des salari\u00e9s travaillent \u00e0 temps partiel, contre une moyenne europ\u00e9enne de 17,1% (Eurostat).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral s\u2019est fix\u00e9 comme objectif de porter le taux d\u2019emploi \u00e0 80% d\u2019ici 2029 \u2013 un seuil qui, selon Statbel, n\u00e9cessite 530 000 travailleurs suppl\u00e9mentaires.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Les frais de d\u00e9placement sont le principal obstacle<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tude montre que le co\u00fbt des d\u00e9placements domicile-travail constitue le principal frein pour les travailleurs \u00e0 temps partiel. 44% d\u2019entre eux indiquent que la hausse des frais de transport rend financi\u00e8rement difficile le maintien ou la reprise d\u2019une activit\u00e9. La distance y joue \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le: quatre travailleurs \u00e0 temps partiel sur dix (40%) d\u00e9clarent qu\u2019ils arr\u00eateraient de travailler s\u2019ils devaient effectuer de longs trajets chaque jour.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>La flexibilit\u00e9 augmente la productivit\u00e9 et l\u2019employabilit\u00e9<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Le travail flexible appara\u00eet comme un puissant levier de motivation pour les personnes travaillant actuellement \u00e0 temps partiel. Ainsi, 63 % d\u2019entre elles indiquent qu\u2019elles seraient pr\u00eates \u00e0 prester davantage d\u2019heures si elles disposaient de plus d\u2019autonomie quant au lieu et au moment de travail. Par ailleurs, 55% estiment que travailler plus pr\u00e8s de leur domicile, par exemple depuis des espaces de travail locaux, les aiderait \u00e0 rester actives sur le march\u00e9 du travail. La flexibilit\u00e9 joue \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le d\u00e9terminant pour les anciens travailleurs \u00e0 temps partiel: une majorit\u00e9 d\u2019entre eux (55%) se d\u00e9clarent pr\u00eats \u00e0 r\u00e9int\u00e9grer le march\u00e9 du travail si leur organisation du travail devenait plus flexible.<\/p>\n<p>La flexibilit\u00e9 appara\u00eet ainsi comme un facteur cl\u00e9, m\u00eame si des incitations financi\u00e8res et un cadre r\u00e9glementaire clair jouent \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le dans la d\u00e9cision de (re)travailler.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>La r\u00e9forme des pensions rendent le choix du travail \u00e0 temps partiel plus complexe<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Le d\u00e9bat autour du travail \u00e0 temps partiel est par ailleurs plus actuel que jamais. Avec les nouvelles r\u00e8gles en mati\u00e8re de pension, les travailleurs doivent d\u00e9sormais prester au moins 156 jours par an pour qu\u2019une ann\u00e9e de carri\u00e8re soit pleinement prise en compte \u2014 une hausse significative par rapport au seuil pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent de 104 jours. Cette \u00e9volution complique le choix du travail \u00e0 temps partiel pour certains, et peut les inciter \u00e0 reconsid\u00e9rer leur participation au march\u00e9 du travail.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Dixon, PDG d\u2019International Workplace Group d\u00e9clare: <em>\u201cEn Belgique, plus de 1,1 million de personnes travaillent \u00e0 temps partiel. Pour une grande partie d\u2019entre elles, le co\u00fbt \u00e9lev\u00e9 des d\u00e9placements et le manque de flexibilit\u00e9 restent des obstacles.
