En effet, celui-ci permet de mesurer l&rsquo;\u00e9volution de l&rsquo;\u00e9galit\u00e9 des genres au sein des 28 pays membres de l&rsquo;Union Europ\u00e9enne entre 2005 et 2012. La disparit\u00e9 des r\u00e9sultats au sein de l&rsquo;UE ainsi que pour les diff\u00e9rents crit\u00e8res devrait nous questionner&#8230;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;index \u00e9labor\u00e9 par l&rsquo;EIGE (European Institute for Gender Equality dont la mission consiste \u00e0 renforcer et \u00e0 promouvoir l&rsquo;\u00e9galit\u00e9 entre les genres au sein de l&rsquo;Union) d\u00e9livre en effet plusieurs enseignements int\u00e9ressants. Nous en avons relev\u00e9 3 qui nous apparaissent essentiels.<\/p>\n<p>1. L&rsquo;Union, consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme un ensemble, atteint un score de 52,9 points en 2012 contre un score de 51,3 en 2005. Certes, il y a des avanc\u00e9es mais la lenteur des progr\u00e8s enregistr\u00e9s est p\u00e9nible.<\/p>\n<p>2. La disparit\u00e9 des scores enregistr\u00e9s au sein de l&rsquo;Union est importante. Tout en haut du classement, nous retrouvons les pays scandinaves avec des scores de 74,2 pour la Su\u00e8de, 72,7 pour la Finlande et 70,4 pour le Danemark. La Roumanie (33,7), la Slovaquie (36,5) ou encore le Portugal (37,9) semblent appartenir \u00e0 un autre continent&#8230; Avec des r\u00e9sultats respectifs de 58,2 pour la Belgique et de 55,2 pour le Luxembourg, les pays fondateurs de l&rsquo;UE ne sont ni exemplaires ni lamentables.<\/p>\n<p>3. Sur les 6 crit\u00e8res mobilis\u00e9s afin de d\u00e9terminer la valeur de l&rsquo;index &#8211; \u00e0 savoir: le travail, les ressources financi\u00e8res, l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la connaissance, la r\u00e9partition du temps entre priv\u00e9 &#8211; professionnel, l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s aux postes \u00e0 responsabilit\u00e9s, la sant\u00e9 -, les scores enregistr\u00e9s montrent l&rsquo;in\u00e9galit\u00e9 persistante dans certains domaines. L&rsquo;int\u00e9gration de nouveaux \u00e9tats de l&rsquo;Europe de l&rsquo;Est sur la p\u00e9riode de mesure a certainement un impact sur les r\u00e9sultats. Globalement, si les chiffres indiquent que l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 (90,0 points &#8211; heureusement!) et aux ressources financi\u00e8res (67,8 points) sont rassurants, ceux qui concernent l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s aux fonctions de d\u00e9cision (39,7) et \u00e0 la connaissance (49,1) restent inqui\u00e9tants.
