En cause, la diminution des bonus.<!--more--><\/h1>\n<p>Les principales conclusions de l&rsquo;enqu\u00eate annuelle portant sur les gros salaires, r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par le professeur Xavier Baeten de l&rsquo;Executive Remuneration Research Centre de Vlerick Business School sont disponibles. L&rsquo;\u00e9chantillon 2014 se compose de 669 entreprises cot\u00e9es en bourse de Belgique, de France, des Pays-Bas, d&rsquo;Allemagne et du Royaume-Uni. Cette \u00e9tude accorde une attention toute particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9volution sur les huit derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, aux engagements de pension, aux facteurs qui d\u00e9terminent la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration variable\u00a0entre autres. Que nous enseigne-t-elle?<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0Au cours des 8 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es (2007-2014), la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration globale des CEO de toutes les entreprises cot\u00e9es en bourse a augment\u00e9 en moyenne de 23% en Belgique, notre pays \u00e9tant pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 en la mati\u00e8re par l&rsquo;Allemagne (32%). En France et aux Pays-Bas, l&rsquo;augmentation n&rsquo;est par contre que de 11%. Il existe n\u00e9anmoins de grandes disparit\u00e9s en fonction de l&rsquo;indice boursier concern\u00e9 (Bel 20, Bel Mid, Bel Small).\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ce qui explique l&rsquo;\u00e9volution des niveaux de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration du CEO.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9tude permet d&rsquo;\u00e9tablir une premi\u00e8re comparaison \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelon europ\u00e9en: <em>\u00ab\u00a0Ind\u00e9pendamment de la taille de l&rsquo;entreprise, ce sont les CEO du Royaume-Uni qui gagnent le plus (4.050.000 euros), suivis par l&rsquo;Allemagne (2.045.000 euros) et les Pays-Bas (1.065.000 euros). La Belgique et la France ferment la marche avec respectivement 670.000 et 495.000 euros. Il s&rsquo;agit en l&rsquo;occurrence de la m\u00e9diane de la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration totale, incluant la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration fixe, la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration variable et celle d\u00e9pendant du cours de l&rsquo;action. Le CEO d&rsquo;une grande entreprise cot\u00e9e en bourse gagne pr\u00e8s de 10 fois plus que celui d&rsquo;une petite entreprise cot\u00e9e en bourse.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Surprenant peut-\u00eatre, ce sont les petites entreprises pourtant qui g\u00e9n\u00e8rent l&rsquo;augmentation moyenne des r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration: <em>\u00ab\u00a0Au cours des huit derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration totale a diminu\u00e9 dans 75% des entreprises du Bel 20, une tendance clairement sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle constat\u00e9e dans les grandes entreprises cot\u00e9es en bourse en France (46%), en Allemagne (33%) et aux Pays-Bas (33%). La r\u00e9gression constat\u00e9e en Belgique est surtout due \u00e0 la diminution du bonus. Dans les petites entreprises cot\u00e9es (Bel Small), la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration a par contre augment\u00e9 pratiquement partout (89% des entreprises). Alors que la diminution des entreprises du Bel 20 \u00e9tait en moyenne de 16%, on a constat\u00e9 dans le Bel Small une augmentation de 45%. \u00c0 titre de comparaison : entre 2007 et 2013, les salaires moyens ont augment\u00e9 de 17% en Belgique.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>La r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration variable li\u00e9e au cours de l&rsquo;action est en r\u00e9gression.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Si nous nous arr\u00eatons sur la composition du pack de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration, on pourrait d\u00e9crire la Belgique comme \u00e9tant le pays affichant la plus forte aversion au risque, puisque la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration fixe y repr\u00e9sente syst\u00e9matiquement une plus grande partie de la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration totale que dans les autres pays. Dans le Bel 20, 52% du pack est fixe (48% variable) ; dans le Bel Mid, ce pourcentage est de 58% et dans le Bel Small de 77%. Dans tous les pays, la partie de la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration variable a diminu\u00e9.<br \/>\nXavier Baeten : <em>\u00ab\u00a0Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une tendance que l&rsquo;on pr\u00e9voyait d\u00e9j\u00e0 voici plusieurs ann\u00e9es : la l\u00e9gislation a impos\u00e9 de tr\u00e8s nombreuses obligations concernant la composition de la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration variable. On a par cons\u00e9quent constat\u00e9 un glissement vers la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration fixe.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Il reste du chemin \u00e0 parcourir en mati\u00e8re de coh\u00e9rence entre la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 et les d\u00e9clarations d&rsquo;intention. Les crit\u00e8res autres que financiers (environnement, people,&#8230;) ne sont quasiment pas pris en compte. <em>\u00ab\u00a0M\u00eame si l&rsquo;on constate de plus en plus souvent qu&rsquo;il est n\u00e9cessaire d&rsquo;\u00e9tablir un mix entre des indicateurs de performance financiers et non financiers pour d\u00e9terminer le bonus, on notera n\u00e9anmoins que 96% des entreprises font appel \u00e0 des crit\u00e8res comptables (b\u00e9n\u00e9fice) alors que seulement 21% d&rsquo;entre elles attachent \u00e9galement de l&rsquo;importance \u00e0 leurs employ\u00e9s (degr\u00e9 de satisfaction) et \u00e0 peine 10% \u00e0 des crit\u00e8res li\u00e9s au client.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On constate par ailleurs que la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration li\u00e9e au cours de l&rsquo;action affiche un net recul. Alors que pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 des entreprises cot\u00e9es en bourse (45%) pr\u00e9voyaient cette forme de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration en 2007, ce pourcentage est d\u00e9sormais retomb\u00e9 \u00e0 23%. C&rsquo;est en France que la chute est la plus spectaculaire.
