ENFIN! dirons-nous&#8230;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Au-travers d&rsquo;une \u00e9tude intitul\u00e9e<em style=\"color: #000000;\"> \u00ab\u00a0Emotionalizing strategy research with the repertory grid technique: Modifications and extensions to a robust procedure for mapping strategic knowledge\u00a0\u00bb, <\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0les professeurs\u00a0Hodgkinson (Warwick Business School), Robert Wright\u00a0(Hong Kong Polytechnic University), et Jamie Anderson (Warwick Business School) ont mis en \u00e9vidence le r\u00f4le majeur que joue l&rsquo;\u00e9motion dans les processus de d\u00e9cision de nos managers, et ce malgr\u00e9 les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s par ces derniers en vue de garantir la rationalit\u00e9 de leurs choix.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9centes \u00e9tudes men\u00e9es sur le terrain des neuro-sciences comportementales indiquent que nos managers d\u00e9veloppent diverses strat\u00e9gies de &lsquo;fa\u00e7ade&rsquo; qui visent \u00e0 gommer la dimension \u00e9motionnelle dans la prise de d\u00e9cision. Elles concluent sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de prendre cette dimension en compte et de d\u00e9velopper une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d&rsquo;outils qui l&rsquo;int\u00e8gre dans les r\u00e9flexions strat\u00e9giques visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer nos niveaux de performance.<\/p>\n<p>La plupart des outils et techniques utilis\u00e9s \u00e0 ce jour permettent d&rsquo;analyser de mani\u00e8re syst\u00e9matique les menaces et les opportunit\u00e9s en vue de prendre une d\u00e9cision. Selon le Professeur Hodgkinson, en charge de la recherche susmentionn\u00e9e, la non consid\u00e9ration de l&rsquo;\u00e9motion dans ce processus a donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9laboration de biais rationnels.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0Nos recherches partent du postulat que nos managers sont impliqu\u00e9s \u00e9motionnellement vis-\u00e0-vis de leurs activit\u00e9s et l&rsquo;ensemble de leurs d\u00e9cisions ont un impact sur leur bien-\u00eatre et leur efficience. C&rsquo;est pour cette raison qu&rsquo;il est essentiel d&rsquo;analyser comment ceux-ci repr\u00e9sentent ces d\u00e9cisions dans des termes \u00e9motionnels, plut\u00f4t que dans des termes purement cognitifs.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Les chercheurs de la Warwick Business School ont interrog\u00e9 un \u00e9chantillon de 26.000 managers au Royaume-Uni, en se focalisant sur des th\u00e8mes r\u00e9currents tels que la disponibilit\u00e9 de la main d&rsquo;oeuvre, la situation des banques europ\u00e9ennes, le co\u00fbt des \u00e9tudes universitaires ou encore la situation des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s\/migrants sur le territoire&#8230; Un second \u00e9chantillon a \u00e9t\u00e9 sond\u00e9 sur les m\u00eames sujets avec pour &lsquo;contrainte&rsquo; de se prononcer sur le plan \u00e9motionnel. Les variances observ\u00e9es entre les r\u00e9sultats des deux \u00e9chantillons (comparables) tendent \u00e0 d\u00e9montrer que les sujets ne sont pas trait\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re uniforme, ni de mani\u00e8re objective.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cCe qui apaise certains managers peut g\u00e9n\u00e9rer de l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 chez d&rsquo;autres\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, explique le Pr Wright. <em>\u00ab\u00a0Via le recours \u00e0 diverses techniques d&rsquo;analyse statistique, nous avons identifi\u00e9 des sous-groupes de managers qui partagent les m\u00eames perceptions et croyances, et nous voyons que celles-ci les distancient clairement de leurs pairs appartenant \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres sous-groupes.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Le Professor Hodgkinson a mis au point un outil strat\u00e9gique &#8211; une forme adapt\u00e9e de la grille des r\u00e9pertoires utilis\u00e9e en psychologie &#8211; afin d&rsquo;aider les managers \u00e0 repr\u00e9senter leur r\u00e9ponse \u00e9motionnelle aux probl\u00e9matiques business. Il ajoute: <em>\u00ab\u00a0Nos managers doivent se reconnecter \u00e0 leurs \u00e9motions. Cette grille, compl\u00e9mentaire aux outils classiques, est de nature \u00e0 les y aider. La recherche met en lumi\u00e8re le r\u00f4le potentiellement crucial jou\u00e9 par l&rsquo;\u00e9motion dans nos repr\u00e9sentations mentales, dans une logique de survie \u00e0 long terme de nos activit\u00e9s et avec un impact fort sur les adaptations et performances organisationnelles.
