\u00ab\u00a0Le travail qui asservit, qui \u00e9panouit, qui ennoblit…\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/strong> C’est l’intitul\u00e9 retenu pour la soir\u00e9e projection \/ d\u00e9bat qui se tiendra le 15 septembre prochain \u00e0 l’Espace Lumen (proximit\u00e9 Place Flagey). Le film projet\u00e9 – Le travail et la r\u00e8gle b\u00e9n\u00e9dictine – sera suivi d’un d\u00e9bat avec le Pr. Pierre-Yves Gomez. La participation est gratuite, ne tardez pas \u00e0 vous inscrire.<\/p>\n

Tout semble opposer l\u2019entreprise et l\u2019abbaye, le monde monastique et le monde \u00e9conomique.
\nPourtant, par son approche universelle, la r\u00e8gle b\u00e9n\u00e9dictine propose de nombreuses passerelles entre le travail et le repos, le mat\u00e9riel et le spirituel, la rentabilit\u00e9 et le don, la recherche effr\u00e9n\u00e9e de la productivit\u00e9 et la vacance.

Note de la r\u00e9daction : la r\u00e8gle b\u00e9n\u00e9dictine, de quoi s’agit-il ?\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9dig\u00e9e par\u00a0Saint Beno\u00eet de Nursie, un moine italien. On lui doit la red\u00e9couverte de la culture antique et la r\u00e8gle monastique dite \u00ab b\u00e9n\u00e9dictine \u00bb donc qui va valoriser le travail dans toutes les couches de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.\u00a0Il \u00e9dicte pour ses compagnons retir\u00e9s avec lui une r\u00e8gle tr\u00e8s simple, en 73 chapitres courts et un prologue.\u00a0\u00c0 la diff\u00e9rence des r\u00e8gles en usage dans les monast\u00e8res orientaux, la sienne combine la pri\u00e8re, le travail et la temp\u00e9rance dans un climat d’\u00e9quilibre et de paix. \u00ab Ora et labora \u00bb (prier et travailler) \u00e9tait sa devise.\u00a0Le travail lui-m\u00eame doit se partager entre les t\u00e2ches intellectuelles (instruction, \u00e9tude et copie des textes anciens…) et les t\u00e2ches ordinaires (travaux m\u00e9nagers, artisanaux ou agricoles).\u00a0La r\u00e8gle de saint Beno\u00eet de Nursie est reprise deux si\u00e8cles plus tard, sous le r\u00e8gne de Charlemagne, par saint Beno\u00eet d’Aniane, fondateur de plusieurs monast\u00e8res en pays franc. En 817, au concile d’Aix-la-Chapelle, l’empereur Louis le Pieux, fils et successeur de Charlemagne, l’impose \u00e0 tous les monast\u00e8res de son empire.\u00a0Celle-ci\u00a0va contribuer d’une mani\u00e8re d\u00e9cisive au renouveau de la chr\u00e9tient\u00e9 occidentale en invitant les moines \u00e0 red\u00e9couvrir l’h\u00e9ritage de l’Antiquit\u00e9 et surtout en valorisant le travail manuel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
