Il a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de mener une \u00e9tude afin de mesurer l&rsquo;ampleur du probl\u00e8me et de r\u00e9colter des t\u00e9moignages, y compris les r\u00e9cits d&rsquo;exp\u00e9riences positives.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 la protection offerte par la loi, de nombreuses femmes enceintes perdent leur emploi et sont licenci\u00e9es en raison de leur grossesse. Quelle est l\u2019\u00e9tendue de ce probl\u00e8me et les choses se passent-elles parfois de mani\u00e8re positive ? En collaboration avec la Vlerick Business School, l\u2019Institut lance une \u00e9tude sur les exp\u00e9riences des femmes enceintes avec leurs coll\u00e8gues, chefs, collaborateurs, clients, fournisseurs,\u2026 Les entrepreneuses et les femmes \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019un emploi font \u00e9galement l\u2019objet de l\u2019\u00e9tude.<\/p>\n<p>Michel Pasteel, directeur de l\u2019Institut pour l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des femmes et des hommes, pr\u00e9cise : <em>\u201cLes plaintes que l\u2019Institut re\u00e7oit renvoient \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes discriminations dont sont victimes les femmes enceintes. Parmi celles-ci citons le non-engagement, le fait de ne pas obtenir une promotion ou de ne pas r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer sa fonction initiale apr\u00e8s un repos d\u2019accouchement. Ou, tout simplement, le licenciement. Un autre exemple : lors de l\u2019entretien d\u2019embauche, certains employeurs n\u2019h\u00e9sitent pas, alors que c\u2019est ill\u00e9gal, \u00e0 demander aux candidates si elles comptent avoir des enfants. En 2015, l\u2019Institut a pris connaissance de nombreux t\u00e9moignages p\u00e9nibles \u00e0 ce propos. 39% des plaintes relatives au travail ont un lien direct avec la grossesse. Est-ce repr\u00e9sentatif de l\u2019ampleur du ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne ?\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>La pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente \u00e9tude de l\u2019Institut, r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en 2008, d\u00e9montrait que 75% des travailleuses interrog\u00e9e savaient \u00e9t\u00e9 confront\u00e9es, \u00e0 au moins une cons\u00e9quence n\u00e9gative li\u00e9e \u00e0 leur grossesse sur le lieu du travail. Une \u00e9tude similaire men\u00e9e aux Pays-Bas indique en outre que les femmes h\u00e9sitent de plus en plus avant de d\u00e9poser plainte. Enfin, des recherches men\u00e9es r\u00e9cemment au Royaume-Uni montrent que le harc\u00e8lement \u00e0 l\u2019encontre des femmes enceintes reste fr\u00e9quent.
