A vous de voir&#8230;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>La somme de nos contradictions est impressionnante. Nous voulons une d\u00e9mocratie participative. Et nous voulons qu\u2019elle soit \u2018men\u00e9e\u2019 par des dirigeants puissants.\u00a0Bref, le peuple r\u00e9volt\u00e9 veut que son ind\u00e9pendance soit garantie par des monarques visionnaires. Et c\u2019est cela qui rend la position du leader \u00e0 la fois enivrante mais aussi, pour le dire en peu de mots, insupportable.<\/p>\n<p>Car il serait temps que nous int\u00e9grions le fait que les hommes \/ femmes providentiel(le)s n\u2019existent pas. Dans tous les cas, le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne ne r\u00e9siste pas \u00e0 une analyse dans le temps.<br \/>\nTous les top managers pl\u00e9biscit\u00e9s au moment o\u00f9 ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 choisis pour relever le prochain grand d\u00e9fi sont condamn\u00e9s \u00e0 dispara\u00eetre un jour en se voyant accabl\u00e9s de reproches.<\/p>\n<p>Bien s\u00fbr, l\u2019\u00e9tat de gr\u00e2ce existe. Et sa dur\u00e9e maximale doit tourner autour d\u2019une centaine de jours, c\u2019est connu. Mieux vaut que cela soit d\u00e8s l\u2019entr\u00e9e dans une nouvelle fonction (si on se r\u00e9v\u00e8le avec un retard important \u00e0 l\u2019allumage, c\u2019est emb\u00eatant\u2026).<br \/>\nNous avons tous des passages, des p\u00e9riodes, des moments pendant lesquels tout nous r\u00e9ussit. Avec l\u2019impression litt\u00e9ralement de marcher sur l\u2019eau\u2026 Rarement une expression n\u2019aura-t-elle \u00e9t\u00e9 aussi appropri\u00e9e tant la sensation de glisse sur les \u00e9v\u00e9nements et possibles contrari\u00e9t\u00e9s est r\u00e9elle\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, m\u00eame si certains sont pass\u00e9s experts dans l\u2019art du storytelling et n\u2019ont aucune peine \u00e0 magnifier leurs parcours personnels pour prolonger ce fameux \u00e9tat de gr\u00e2ce, cela ne tient pas dans la dur\u00e9e. Sans cynisme mais au contraire avec \u00e9normement de bienveillance, le meilleur conseil que nous puissions donner \u00e0 un manager consiste \u00e0 se pr\u00e9parer \u00e0 g\u00e9rer le basculement. Car mieux vaut se pr\u00e9parer \u00e0 avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 le roi \/ la reine du monde pour un temps avant de devenir, quelques mois plus tard seulement, le dernier des tocards.<\/p>\n<p>Evidemment, la prise de conscience invite \u00e0 l\u2019humilit\u00e9 mais pas seulement\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Elle doit \u00e9galement nous pousser r\u00e9solument \u00e0 l\u2019action. Cette limite dans le temps qui nous est imparti devrait en effet nous inciter \u00e0 saisir le momentum initial, \u00e0 \u00eatre dans le pr\u00e9sent et non dans la projection d\u2019une fin programm\u00e9e. Elle est de nature \u00e0 nous encourager \u00e0 prendre des risques importants. La disruption et le progr\u00e8s sont \u00e0 ce prix.<\/p>\n<p>Par ailleurs, lorsque nous avons ressenti le caract\u00e8re in\u00e9luctable de notre prochaine obsolescence en tant que manager, il devient \u00e9videmment que l\u2019une des priorit\u00e9s essentielles consiste \u00e0 toujours pr\u00e9parer la succession. Dans une fonction manag\u00e9riale, voil\u00e0 sans doute la partie du job la plus compliqu\u00e9e mais aussi la plus r\u00e9jouissante \u00e0 terme.<\/p>\n<p>Et enfin, cette \u00e9volution certaine doit nous amener \u00e0 refuser les jeux politiques ainsi que les injonctions stupides qui viennent verticalement (d\u2019en haut, comme d\u2019en bas \u2013 on appelle cela la dictature du prol\u00e9tariat qui n\u2019a sans doute jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 aussi forte que maintenant), pour privil\u00e9gier l\u2019horizontalit\u00e9\u2026 Regarder \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de soi afin d\u2019essayer d\u2019avancer ensemble, dans une relation d\u2019\u00e9gal \u00e0 \u00e9gal, au lieu de consacrer la majeure partie de notre temps \u00e0 lorgner vers les sommets et \u00e0 m\u00e9priser la base.
