Les chiffres publi\u00e9s d\u00e9montrent que la position de la femme sur le march\u00e9 du travail reste vuln\u00e9rable. En effet, la principale augmentation concerne les plaintes (+49%) qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 introduites majoritairement par des femmes pour des questions li\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#8217;emploi&#8230;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cTout le monde conna\u00eet l\u2019exemple classique de la femme qui est licenci\u00e9e en raison de sa grossesse.\u201d<\/em>, d\u00e9clare Michel Pasteel, Directeur de l\u2019Institut pour l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des femmes et des hommes. <em>\u201cLa discrimination sur le march\u00e9 du travail peut toutefois prendre diff\u00e9rentes formes : une femme peut se voir refuser un poste parce qu\u2019elle a un enfant et que l\u2019employeur estime qu\u2019elle ne sera pas assez flexible; elle peut reprendre le travail apr\u00e8s son cong\u00e9 de maternit\u00e9 ou un cong\u00e9 parental et d\u00e9couvrir que son rempla\u00e7ant conserve son poste; elle peut \u00eatre licenci\u00e9e en raison de nombreuses absences dues \u00e0 une grossesse difficile ou encore ne plus \u00eatre trait\u00e9e comme un membre de l\u2019\u00e9quipe suite \u00e0 sa demande de temps partiel. Sans parler des femmes moins bien r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9es que leurs coll\u00e8gues masculins alors qu\u2019elles exercent les m\u00eames t\u00e2ches, et des femmes discrimin\u00e9es en raison de leur sexe lorsqu\u2019elles essaient de briser le plafond de verre.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Institut re\u00e7oit des signalements tr\u00e8s divers. Tout comme en 2015, la plupart des signalements enregistr\u00e9s par l\u2019Institut en 2016 proviennent \u00e0 nouveau de femmes et concernent le domaine du travail. Les signalements sont r\u00e9partis en deux cat\u00e9gories : les demandes d\u2019informations et les plaintes. Les plaintes impliquent que le notifiant demande \u00e0 l\u2019Institut de traiter une situation discriminatoire. La hausse du nombre de signalements enregistr\u00e9s est principalement due \u00e0 l\u2019importante augmentation du nombre de plaintes par rapport \u00e0 l\u2019ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente (+49%).<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Quels signalements en 2016?<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nEn 2016, l\u2019Institut a enregistr\u00e9 549 signalements : 231 demandes d\u2019informations et 318 plaintes. Le nombre total de signalements juridiques a augment\u00e9 de 18% par rapport \u00e0 2015, et de 50% par rapport \u00e0 2014.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019augmentation du nombre de signalements en 2016 est principalement due au nombre important de plaintes trait\u00e9es par l\u2019Institut. 58% des signalements re\u00e7us \u00e9taient des plaintes, ce qui repr\u00e9sente une \u00e9norme augmentation du nombre de plaintes (+49%) par rapport \u00e0 2015. En 2016, le nombre de demandes d\u2019informations a l\u00e9g\u00e8rement diminu\u00e9 par rapport \u00e0 2015 (-7,2%), mais il a augment\u00e9 en comparaison avec 2014 (+47%).<br \/>\nLes chiffres montrent que de tr\u00e8s nombreuses personnes sont encore discrimin\u00e9es dans le contexte professionnel. 35% des signalements concernent totalement ou en partie la situation professionnelle. \u201c<em>Bien que les hommes soient bien entendu \u00e9galement victimes de discrimination dans le contexte du travail, nous constatons qu\u2019en 2016, 70% des signalements pour discrimination au travail ont \u00e9t\u00e9 introduits par des femmes.\u201d<\/em>, pr\u00e9cise Michel Pasteel. <em>\u201cNous remarquons que les hommes sont davantage victimes de discrimination lors du recrutement, tandis que les femmes courent le risque d\u2019\u00eatre discrimin\u00e9es dans toutes les phases de la carri\u00e8re.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Vu que la grande majorit\u00e9 des notifiants qui signalent des discriminations li\u00e9es au travail sont des femmes (69%), il n\u2019est pas surprenant de constater que 38% des signalements relatifs au domaine du travail concernent la discrimination \u00e0 la grossesse ou \u00e0 la maternit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Autres th\u00e9matiques<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n22% des signalements re\u00e7us par l\u2019Institut concernent totalement ou en partie \u00ab l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des biens et des services et la fourniture de biens et de services \u00bb. Les signalements dans ce domaine proviennent autant de femmes (56%) que d\u2019hommes (37%) et il s\u2019agit dans 74% des cas d\u2019une plainte.<\/p>\n<p>Les signalements introduits dans le domaine \u00ab enseignement et formation \u00bb et le nombre de plaintes relatifs \u00e0 la \u00ab s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sociale \u00bb ont \u00e9galement connu une l\u00e9g\u00e8re augmentation en 2016.<\/p>\n<p>En 2016, pr\u00e8s d\u2019un signalement sur sept concernait une discrimination \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard de personnes transgenres (14%). Les signalements relatifs \u00e0 cette th\u00e9matique ont \u00e0 nouveau augment\u00e9 (+23% en comparaison avec 2015) et la tendance \u00e0 la hausse qui a commenc\u00e9 en 2014 s\u2019est donc poursuivie. En 2016, l\u2019Institut a re\u00e7u des signalements concernant principalement l\u2019acc\u00e8s aux soins de sant\u00e9, des probl\u00e8mes avec les compagnies d\u2019assurances et des discriminations dans le contexte professionnel.
