Le principe fondateur du Lean Management est inscrit dans le quotidien m\u00eame de l\u2019entreprise. Il y a de quoi se demander d\u00e8s lors pourquoi un nombre si important d\u2019organisations se lancent dans une d\u00e9marche dite \u2018Lean\u2019\u2026<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Dans les faits, les principes issus de la m\u00e9thode qui prennent le dessus sont ceux qui consistent \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les inefficacit\u00e9s et autres gaspillages, \u00e0 traquer les \u2018pertes\u2019 et \u00e0 \u00e9liminer les nuisances qui entravent un service de top qualit\u00e9 envers les clients.<\/p>\n<p>Bien s\u00fbr, la d\u00e9marche g\u00e9n\u00e8re de la valeur pour la plupart des parties prenantes. Incontestablement.<br \/>\nElle permet aussi d\u2019aller \u00e0 l\u2019essentiel sur le terrain et de concentrer les \u00e9nergies \u00e0 la fois sur l\u2019excellence op\u00e9rationnelle et sur la r\u00e9solution (voire l\u2019anticipation) des probl\u00e8mes qui pourraient entraver la fluidit\u00e9 des activit\u00e9s.<br \/>\nEnfin, la d\u00e9marche est dite \u2018participative\u2019. Elle vise \u00e0 impliquer celles et ceux qui sont dans le concret afin qu\u2019ils prennent la main directement sur les processus qui les concernent et \u00e9viter que des d\u00e9cisions d\u00e9connect\u00e9es du terrain ne soient prises.<\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 ce tableau quasi idyllique, nous pouvons constater que la mise en application du lean suscite souvent des frustrations chez bon nombre de nos collaborateurs, pouvant aller jusqu\u2019au d\u00e9sengagement dans certains cas. Selon la tradition d\u00e9sormais bien install\u00e9e, nous voulons donc poser trois questions en pr\u00e9lude de ce nouveau dossier th\u00e9matique.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>La premi\u00e8re\u00a0:<\/em><\/strong> le lean management convient-il \u00e0 tous les profils\u00a0? Nos ing\u00e9nieurs y trouvent leur compte (oui, c\u2019est un gros clich\u00e9), cela va sans dire. L\u2019am\u00e9lioration continue et le souci du d\u00e9tail sont de r\u00e9els moteurs pour les d\u00e9tenteurs des sciences exactes en qu\u00eate de perfection. D\u2019autres esprits, que nous pouvons qualifier de \u2018boh\u00eames\u2019 ou d\u2019aventureux, ne peuvent se r\u00e9soudre \u00e0 avancer de la sorte. Pourquoi\u00a0? Z\u00e9ro prise de risque et surtout la pesante n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de formater toute activit\u00e9 en vue d\u2019en garantir la parfaite continuit\u00e9. Quel ennui! Les profils en qu\u00eate de disruption et de changement permanent peuvent \u00eatre malheureux dans ces conditions. D\u00e8s lors, faut-il impliquer absolument tout le monde lorsque l\u2019organisation se lance dans un projet lean?<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Deuxi\u00e8me question\u00a0:<\/em><\/strong> la d\u00e9marche peut-elle brider voire tuer la cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 au sein des \u00e9quipes\u00a0? Et de nous interroger\u00a0: la \u2018dictature\u2019 du service au client doit-elle toujours rester prioritaire\u00a0? \u2018\u2019Le client est roi\u2019\u2019, entendons-nous. Ou encore, \u2018\u2019le client a toujours raison\u2019\u2019\u2026 Et si les imp\u00e9ratifs \u00e9manant des clients \u00e9taient un frein \u00e0 la recherche de nouvelles id\u00e9es et de nouveaux moyens de l\u2018\u00e9blouir\u00a0? Bref, essayons de voir ensemble si le lean ne pourrait dans une certaine mesure constituer une entrave \u00e0 l\u2019innovation\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Troisi\u00e8me question d\u2019ordre culturel, une fois n\u2019est pas coutume\u00a0:<\/em><\/strong> la tendance du \u2018good enough\u2019 (en fran\u00e7ais, le \u2018sam suffit\u2019) ne serait-elle pas mieux adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019air du temps\u00a0? Celle-ci, directement inspir\u00e9e des m\u00e9thodes agiles, pr\u00f4ne l\u2019acceptation de situations imparfaites, afin de privil\u00e9gier tant la vitesse d\u2019ex\u00e9cution que l\u2019autonomie des collaborateurs. En bref, il s\u2019agit de se satisfaire parfois d\u2019un processus qui pourrait manifestement \u00eatre am\u00e9lior\u00e9. L\u2019organisation privil\u00e9gie ainsi l\u2019appropriation de ce processus par le(s) collaborateur(s) en charge de son ex\u00e9cution. Cette approche repr\u00e9sente aussi une alternative \u00e0 la philosophie d\u2019am\u00e9lioration continue sur laquelle le lean management repose. Lorsqu\u2019il s\u2019agit de choisir entre le perfectionnisme et la prise de responsabilit\u00e9, les d\u00e9fenseurs du \u2018good enough management\u2019 nous rappelle que, parfois, l\u2019excellence rend con\u00a0!
