Dans le cadre d&rsquo;une \u00e9tude commandit\u00e9e par Indeed, intitul\u00e9e &lsquo;Privacy of Job Search&rsquo;, dix mille chercheurs d&#8217;emploi dans neuf pays ont \u00e9t\u00e9 interrog\u00e9s afin de mieux comprendre les pr\u00e9occupations des personnes \u00e0 la recherche d&rsquo;un emploi. Il est notamment apparu que les deux tiers des sond\u00e9s (65%) craignent que d&rsquo;autres ne d\u00e9couvrent qu&rsquo;ils sont \u00e0 la recherche d&rsquo;un (nouvel) emploi.\u00a0Les chercheurs d&#8217;emploi ont si peur que d&rsquo;autres d\u00e9couvrent qu&rsquo;ils postulent, que la moiti\u00e9 d&rsquo;entre eux ne le disent m\u00eame pas \u00e0 leur partenaire.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s la famille et la sant\u00e9, la carri\u00e8re est l&rsquo;un des \u00e9l\u00e9ments les plus importants d\u2019une vie. Les r\u00e9sultats varient d&rsquo;un pays \u00e0 l&rsquo;autre, mais font appara\u00eetre certaines craintes dans le monde entier, leurs causes sous-jacentes et le caract\u00e8re profond\u00e9ment personnel de la recherche d&rsquo;un emploi.<\/p>\n<p>Une attention particuli\u00e8re a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 accord\u00e9e aux m\u00e9dias sociaux. L\u2019\u00e9tude montre que discuter de la recherche d&rsquo;un emploi sur les m\u00e9dias sociaux est l&rsquo;un des derniers tabous. Pr\u00e8s du quart des chercheurs d&#8217;emploi dans le monde (24%) ont indiqu\u00e9 que c&rsquo;\u00e9tait le sujet sur lequel ils \u00e9taient les moins susceptibles de partager des informations en ligne, au m\u00eame niveau que les finances personnelles. A contrario, les relations personnelles sont le sujet le plus populaire sur les m\u00e9dias sociaux. Pr\u00e8s d&rsquo;un tiers de tous les participants (31%) ont indiqu\u00e9 que c&rsquo;\u00e9tait ce dont ils parlaient le plus souvent en ligne.<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, cette franchise ne s&rsquo;applique pas toujours aux relations personnelles dans le monde &lsquo;r\u00e9el&rsquo;. Les chercheurs ont not\u00e9 que la peur contribue \u00e0 taire le processus de candidature. La moiti\u00e9 des chercheurs d&#8217;emploi ne diraient pas \u00e0 leur partenaire qu&rsquo;ils vont postuler. 60 des candidats de plus de 55 ans cachent leur recherche d&#8217;emploi \u00e0 leur partenaire, ce qui en fait le groupe le plus r\u00e9serv\u00e9 dans ce domaine.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Les Hollandais sont les plus relax et ouverts au sujet de la recherche d\u2019un emploi&#8230;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dans le monde entier, les chercheurs d&#8217;emploi britanniques sont les plus taiseux. Seuls 37% d\u2019entre eux ont dit \u00e0 leur partenaire qu&rsquo;ils postulaient \u00e0 un nouvel emploi. Les Fran\u00e7ais sont un peu moins r\u00e9ticents (41% le diraient \u00e0 leur partenaire). De l&rsquo;autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 du spectre, les Hollandais font preuve de la plus grande ouverture. 61% n&rsquo;\u00e9prouvent aucune difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 discuter de leur recherche d&#8217;emploi avec leur moiti\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Les candidats craignent que d&rsquo;autres ne d\u00e9couvrent qu&rsquo;ils cherchent du travail, mais cette crainte est loin d&rsquo;\u00eatre la m\u00eame dans tous les pays. Une fois encore, les Hollandais se sont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9s les plus relax en la mati\u00e8re. Pr\u00e8s des deux tiers (62%) ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 ne pas s&rsquo;en inqui\u00e9ter. C&rsquo;est plus du double des Fran\u00e7ais (dont seulement 24% ne s\u2019en inqui\u00e9taient pas), des Irlandais (26%), des Canadiens (27%), des Australiens (28%) et des Britanniques (31%).<\/p>\n<p>Il semble y avoir un m\u00e9lange de craintes pratiques et plus personnelles. Dans le monde entier, 40% des personnes \u00e0 la recherche d&rsquo;un nouvel emploi craignent que leur employeur ne le d\u00e9couvre. Un tiers d\u2019entre eux (34%) craignent de ne pas d\u00e9crocher l&#8217;emploi et un cinqui\u00e8me (20%) d\u2019\u00eatre d\u00e9prim\u00e9s par cet \u00e9chec.<\/p>\n<p>Le besoin de garder le secret suscite de fortes \u00e9motions chez les gens qui essaient de changer d&#8217;emploi. Les deux tiers (64%) se disent pr\u00e9occup\u00e9s par la recherche d&rsquo;un nouvel emploi. La moiti\u00e9 d&rsquo;entre eux sentent qu&rsquo;ils ont quelque chose \u00e0 cacher. Un tiers (33%) a m\u00eame l&rsquo;impression de vivre une double vie.<\/p>\n<p>Paul D&rsquo;Arcy, senior vicepresident Marketing chez Indeed, explique : <em>\u00ab\u00a0La puissance de l&rsquo;Internet a r\u00e9volutionn\u00e9 la fa\u00e7on dont nous cherchons un emploi. Toutefois, notre attitude \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9gard de la recherche d&#8217;emploi est demeur\u00e9e inchang\u00e9e. Bien que pour beaucoup d&rsquo;entre nous, c&rsquo;est la chose la plus naturelle au monde que de partager des informations sur notre vie et nos relations sur les m\u00e9dias sociaux, la recherche d&rsquo;un nouvel emploi reste une activit\u00e9 extr\u00eamement personnelle. Il est crucial que le secteur du recrutement tienne compte de l\u2019aspect humain et y apporte une r\u00e9ponse.\u00a0Il y a des raisons pratiques \u00e0 cela. Mais peu d&rsquo;entre nous aimeraient que notre sup\u00e9rieur d\u00e9couvre que nous avons l&rsquo;intention de quitter le bateau.
