Passage en revue de plus des initiatives de 1300 entreprises r\u00e9parties \u00e0 travers le monde (y compris dans les pays \u00e9mergents) en mati\u00e8re de RSE.<!--more--><\/div>\n<p>Fond\u00e9e en 2002 par Nicole Notat (ex leader de la CFDT, premier syndicat fran\u00e7ais), Vigeo \u00e9value les pratiques en mati\u00e8re de responsabilit\u00e9 sociale des organisations au regard de six domaines : comportement sur les march\u00e9s, droits de l&rsquo;homme, engagement soci\u00e9tal, environnement, gouvernance d&rsquo;entreprise et ressources humaines. <\/p>\n<p>Elle rel\u00e8ve un mouvement spectaculaire d&rsquo;universalisation de la publication d&rsquo;engagements et d&rsquo;informations de la part des entreprises cot\u00e9es au sujet de leur responsabilit\u00e9 sociale et environnementale.<\/p>\n<p>Le rapport indique que : <em>\u00ab\u00a0Les dirigeants des grandes firmes ont compris le besoin pour eux de s&rsquo;adresser \u00e0 une opinion qui devient transnationale, et qu&rsquo;une \u00e9poque a commenc\u00e9 o\u00f9 les march\u00e9s et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 au sens large vont leur demander une information allant au-del\u00e0 de la diffusion d&rsquo;\u00e9tats financiers r\u00e9glementaires assortis de commentaires plus ou moins pr\u00e9cis.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> <\/p>\n<p>Les effondrements de titres r\u00e9put\u00e9s s\u00fbrs au moment de la crise ont l\u00e9gitim\u00e9 et accru les demandes port\u00e9es, selon les cas, par les investisseurs, les r\u00e9gulateurs, les Etats ou les associations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9gard des entreprises pour qu&rsquo;elles am\u00e9liorent la lisibilit\u00e9 de leur gouvernance et qu&rsquo;elles fournissent des assurances sur leur prise en compte des dimensions environnementales, sociales, soci\u00e9tales et \u00e9thiques de leurs activit\u00e9s. <\/p>\n<p>Les constats de cette \u00e9tude dessinent un tableau \u00e0 la fois contrast\u00e9 et riche d\u2019enseignements pour tous ceux qui ont en charge de construire ou d\u2019exploiter l\u2019information publique des entreprises : <\/p>\n<p>Un groupe d\u2019entreprises leaders parvient d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 d\u00e9passer les discours de caract\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ral sur le d\u00e9veloppement durable et \u00e0 fournir une reddition extensive et de qualit\u00e9 sur la responsabilit\u00e9 sociale, ses objectifs, ses processus de mise en \u0153uvre et ses r\u00e9sultats. Sur 31 entreprises ainsi diff\u00e9renci\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale, 19 sont fran\u00e7aises avec \u00e0 leur t\u00eate le Groupe Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale.<br \/>\nLes rapports de responsabilit\u00e9 sociale se g\u00e9n\u00e9ralisent et gagnent en professionnalisme dans tous les continents et pays analys\u00e9s : alors qu\u2019en 2008, il \u00e9tait encore une pratique principalement nord-am\u00e9ricaine, britannique et fran\u00e7aise, le reporting RSE s\u2019est clairement universalis\u00e9 au cours des quatre derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, et observe, d\u00e9sormais, m\u00eame dans les pays \u00e9mergents, la production de discours des firmes, assortis d\u2019indicateurs sur leur responsabilit\u00e9 sociale et environnementale, leur gouvernance et leur \u00e9thique des affaires.<\/p>\n<p>Les sujets de gouvernance, suppos\u00e9s \u00eatre prioritairement destin\u00e9s aux march\u00e9s financiers sont quantitativement les plus renseign\u00e9s ; l\u2019information relative aux facteurs environnementaux a fortement augment\u00e9 au cours des quatre derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es (+10%).<br \/>\nEn revanche, l&rsquo;information sur les droits de l&rsquo;homme, le dialogue social et l&rsquo;int\u00e9gration des standards sociaux et environnementaux dans les achats internationaux et dans la cha\u00eene des approvisionnements internes des entreprises demeure le maillon faible du reporting sur la responsabilit\u00e9 sociale.<br \/>\nIl n&rsquo;y a pas de lien entre la quantit\u00e9 et la pertinence de l&rsquo;information. Des rapports concis, de quelques dizaines de pages, peuvent suffire \u00e0 rendre intelligibles les facteurs de risques de responsabilit\u00e9 sociale et les processus manag\u00e9riaux d\u00e9di\u00e9s \u00e0 leur prise en compte, et se r\u00e9v\u00e9ler donc plus utiles que des rapports de plusieurs centaines de pages pour l&rsquo;analyse fondamentale des entreprises et leur dialogue avec leurs parties prenantes.<\/p>\n<p>Si beaucoup reste \u00e0 faire pour que l&rsquo;information sur la responsabilit\u00e9 sociale soit mesurable, comparable et utile au dialogue et \u00e0 r\u00e9elle valeur ajout\u00e9e pour les d\u00e9cideurs et les investisseurs, l&rsquo;\u00e9tude fournit des listes de v\u00e9ribables leaders du reporting parvenant \u00e0 mobiliser et \u00e0 diffuser plus de 95% des indicateurs requis par le r\u00e9f\u00e9rentiel de Vigeo.<\/p>\n<p>Pour Fouad Benseddik, Directeur de la M\u00e9thodologie et des Relations Institutionnelles de Vigeo : <em>\u00abCette deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9tude t\u00e9moigne d\u2019un changement auquel nous sommes fiers de contribuer chaque jour en tant qu\u2019agence de notation de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration ; le reporting des entreprises au sujet de leur responsabilit\u00e9 sociale est une composante s\u00e9rieuse de leur performance.
