Les politiques men\u00e9es en faveur du bien-\u00eatre au travail, qui se multiplient un peu partout dans nos entreprises, ne seraient-elles finalement que de la poudre aux yeux ?<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Le quotidien Les Echos reprend le contexte et principales conclusions des chercheurs de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;Illinois. Ces derniers ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de mener une enqu\u00eate de grande ampleur, en prenant comme terrain de recherche les 12.000 employ\u00e9s de leur campus. Au programme : cours de Tai-Chi, aide \u00e0 l\u2019arr\u00eat du tabac, accompagnement nutritionnel et autres cours sur les pratiques saines \u00e0 adopter au bureau. Et le r\u00e9sultat, au bout d\u2019un an, est tout simplement d\u00e9cevant.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0Chaque ann\u00e9e, les arr\u00eats maladie co\u00fbtent \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9conomie am\u00e9ricaine la coquette somme de 225 milliards de dollars. Les \u201cwellness programs\u201d &#8211; m\u00e9lange de cours de nutrition, de yoga, ou encore d\u2019accompagnement \u00e0 l\u2019arr\u00eat du tabac &#8211; font d\u2019ailleurs flor\u00e8s aux Etats-Unis au point de repr\u00e9senter un march\u00e9 annuel de 8 milliards de dollars pour environ 50 millions de travailleurs. Ces programmes sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement propos\u00e9s par les mutuelles avec des effets incitatifs (r\u00e9ductions, syst\u00e8me de bonus fid\u00e9lit\u00e9\u2026).\u00a0\u00bb<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLes programmes de sant\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 vant\u00e9s comme des moyens pour r\u00e9duire les frais m\u00e9dicaux des employ\u00e9s et augmenter leur productivit\u00e9, en diminuant notamment l\u2019absent\u00e9isme\u201d<\/em>, note l\u2019\u00e9tude, avant d\u2019ajouter, au contraire, que la d\u00e9pense moyenne avec le programme fr\u00f4le les 566 dollars par mois, contre 562 dollars avant la mise en place du programme.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Vendre du r\u00eave&#8230;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pour les participants, aucun changement notable en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9, d\u2019absent\u00e9isme, de fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 \u00e0 leur employeur, ou encore d\u2019\u00e9volution de carri\u00e8re. Exit, donc, la gestion du stress, la pr\u00e9vention des maladies, l\u2019accompagnement m\u00e9dico-social, les cours de yoga ?<\/p>\n<p>Sans une approche globale du management et de l&rsquo;organisation de l&rsquo;entreprise, ces activit\u00e9s et am\u00e9nagements ne d\u00e9livrent pas de b\u00e9n\u00e9fice r\u00e9el.<\/p>\n<p>Ce que montre surtout l&rsquo;\u00e9tude du NBER, <em>\u00ab\u00a0c\u2019est que ce type de dispositif n\u2019attire pas les personnes pour lesquelles ces programmes seraient le plus b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques. Dans le cadre de cette recherche, seuls 56% des 12.000 employ\u00e9s se sont port\u00e9s volontaires, des profils g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement plut\u00f4t jeunes, en bonne sant\u00e9, et d\u00e9j\u00e0 sportifs\u2026\u00a0D\u2019o\u00f9 un \u201cretour sur investissement\u201d nul, en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 en travail. N\u00e9anmoins ces programmes pourraient avoir un autre b\u00e9n\u00e9fice, soulignent les chercheurs, un peu diff\u00e9rent de celui affich\u00e9, \u00e0 savoir attirer de jeunes professionnels dynamiques.
