Les engagements globaux \u2013 garantir aux femmes de tous les secteurs que leur force de travail sera r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 \u00e9galit\u00e9 avec celle des hommes pour un travail de valeur \u00e9gale \u2013 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pris lors de la conf\u00e9rence d\u2019engagement de la Coalition internationale sur la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration \u00e9gale (EPIC) au cours de l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale des Nations Unies \u00e0 New York.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Aujourd\u2019hui, les dirigeants mondiaux de gouvernements, d\u2019entreprises du secteur priv\u00e9, de syndicats et de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile ont promis de prendre des mesures concr\u00e8tes afin de mettre fin aux \u00e9carts de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration entre hommes et femmes d\u2019ici \u00e0 2030.<\/p>\n<p>A l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale, et dans tous les segments de la population active, les femmes sont moins pay\u00e9es que les hommes pour un travail de valeur \u00e9gale. L\u2019in\u00e9galit\u00e9 de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration est l\u2019un des obstacles majeurs \u00e0 la r\u00e9ussite professionnelle des femmes et \u00e0 la croissance \u00e9conomique, un probl\u00e8me crucial qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9 au rang de priorit\u00e9 dans les Objectifs de d\u00e9veloppement durable (ODD) des Nations Unies, en particulier les ODD 8.5 et 5. L\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration, en plus de l\u2019autonomisation des femmes, peut avoir un impact significatif sur la r\u00e9alisation d\u2019autres objectifs majeurs, tels que la promotion de soci\u00e9t\u00e9s inclusives, la r\u00e9duction de la pauvret\u00e9 et la cr\u00e9ation des conditions propices au travail d\u00e9cent et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes.<\/p>\n<p>En tant que dirigeants du secr\u00e9tariat d\u2019EPIC, le Directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019OIT, Guy Ryder, la Directrice ex\u00e9cutive d\u2019ONU Femmes, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, et le Secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019OCDE, Angel Gurria, ont promis d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer les progr\u00e8s en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9duction de l\u2019\u00e9cart salarial en conviant des dirigeants mondiaux \u00e0 faire part de leur exp\u00e9rience, \u00e0 documenter et diffuser leurs bonnes pratiques et \u00e0 porter sur la sc\u00e8ne politique mondiale la question de l\u2019in\u00e9galit\u00e9 de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration entre les sexes.<\/p>\n<p>Dans l\u2019assistance, parmi les dirigeants mondiaux se trouvaient le Pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019Islande, Gu\u00f0ni Th. J\u00f3hannesson, et la Vice-pr\u00e9sidente et ministre des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res de la R\u00e9publique de Panama, Isabel de Saint Malo de Alvarado. Les gouvernements, du P\u00e9rou \u00e0 la Jordanie, de la Suisse au Canada, ont affich\u00e9 leur vision commune pour acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer les progr\u00e8s en vue de r\u00e9aliser l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration en promettant de:<br \/>\n&#8211; mettre en \u0153uvre une l\u00e9gislation qui interdise les r\u00e9mun\u00e9rations in\u00e9gales dans les secteurs public et priv\u00e9<br \/>\n&#8211; cr\u00e9er des commissions nationales qui veillent au respect des lois sur la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration \u00e9gale<br \/>\n&#8211; lancer des campagnes nationales de sensibilisation sur l\u2019importance de la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration \u00e9gale<\/p>\n<p>La Directrice ex\u00e9cutive d\u2019ONU Femmes , Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9: <em>\u00abUn syst\u00e8me de protection sociale fort est primordial pour r\u00e9duire l\u2019\u00e9cart salarial entre hommes et femmes. Quand les femmes ont acc\u00e8s \u00e0 un cong\u00e9 de maternit\u00e9 r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9, \u00e0 des services de prise en charge des enfants et des personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es accessibles, \u00e0 des infrastructures durables, nous constatons une hausse du nombre de femmes s\u2019engageant dans le travail salari\u00e9. Ce sera le th\u00e8me de la Commission de la condition de la femme l\u2019an prochain et je compte sur le soutien de la Coalition pour acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer les progr\u00e8s afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer les syst\u00e8mes de protection sociale\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Les principales promesses faites au cours de la conf\u00e9rence sont les suivantes:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Le Pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019Islande, Gu\u00f0ni Th. J\u00f3hannesson, s\u2019est engag\u00e9 \u00e0 faire appliquer la loi de son pays sur la Certification en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration. La loi prohibe les pratiques discriminatoires fond\u00e9es sur le genre et exige que les hommes et les femmes travaillant pour le m\u00eame employeur touchent la m\u00eame r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration et jouissent des m\u00eames conditions d\u2019emploi.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; La Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration syndicale internationale a promis de faire conna\u00eetre les initiatives qui visent \u00e0 instaurer l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des campagnes de sensibilisation pour l\u2019investissement dans les modes de garde pour enfants, la cr\u00e9ation de minimums vitaux et la garantie d\u2019une protection sociale aux travailleurs du soin.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; L\u2019Organisation internationale des employeurs a promis de renforcer ses actions visant \u00e0 promouvoir les bonnes pratiques en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes et de non-discrimination dans le cadre de son engagement \u00e0 pr\u00e9server et d\u00e9fendre les principes et les droits fondamentaux au travail, tout en accordant une attention particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 la discrimination fond\u00e9e sur le genre en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Des organisations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile, dont Save the Children et CIVICUS, ont promis d\u2019encourager leurs membres \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les \u00e9carts salariaux et \u00e0 proc\u00e9der en interne \u00e0 une r\u00e9vision de leurs politiques de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration pour garantir l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 entre hommes et femmes.<\/p>\n<p>Des entreprises mondiales ont \u00e9galement particip\u00e9 \u00e0 cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, dont IKEA, Deloitte, Pepsi Co, Nestl\u00e9 et Novartis AG qui ont affirm\u00e9 leur adh\u00e9sion \u00e0 la mission de l\u2019EPIC en s\u2019engageant par exemple \u00e0:<br \/>\n<em>&#8211; examiner leurs pratiques d\u2019embauche et de promotion afin de r\u00e9duire les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s inconscients et les obstacles structurels<\/em><br \/>\n<em> &#8211; identifier les bonnes pratiques et les promouvoir afin d\u2019assurer l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 pour tous les travailleurs<\/em><br \/>\n<em> &#8211; mettre en \u0153uvre des politiques interdisant les discriminations fond\u00e9es sur le genre.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>EPIC , une initiative lanc\u00e9e en 2017 pour agir en faveur de la r\u00e9duction de l\u2019\u00e9cart salarial entre hommes et femmes, rassemble des acteurs importants du monde entier pour cr\u00e9er un mouvement en faveur de l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration pour un travail de valeur \u00e9gale et s\u2019assurer qu\u2019elle soit pleinement r\u00e9alis\u00e9e. EPIC est pilot\u00e9e par l\u2019Organisation internationale du Travail (OIT), ONU Femmes et l\u2019Organisation de coop\u00e9ration et de d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomiques (OCDE).
