Une seule institution belge figure dans le top 100 domin\u00e9 comme toujours par les universit\u00e9s anglo saxonnes.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ce classement est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 sur base de 13 indicateurs de performance regroup\u00e9s en cinq domaines (enseignement, recherche, citations, dimension internationale et d\u00e9bouch\u00e9s industriels).\u00a0Trois universit\u00e9s belges, \u00e0 savoir la KULeuven, l&rsquo;UCL et l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Gand, figurent dans le top 200 du classement mondial des universit\u00e9s 2018-2019.\u00a0La\u00a0KULeuven reste le premier \u00e9tablissement belge avec sa 48e place, soit un \u00e9chelon plus bas que dans la version pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente.<\/p>\n<p>Comme l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, ce sont les universit\u00e9s d&rsquo;Oxford et de Cambridge qui montent sur les deux premi\u00e8res marches du podium. L&rsquo;universit\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine de Standford arrive en troisi\u00e8me place. Les Etats-Unis sont d&rsquo;ailleurs les plus repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s avec 172 institutions dans le classement.<\/p>\n<p>Si les \u00e9tablissements des \u00c9tats-Unis et d\u2019Europe s\u2019imposent en t\u00eate du classement, les universit\u00e9s chinoises, entre autres, op\u00e8rent une belle remont\u00e9e. Le Times Higher Education constate une certaine stagnation des universit\u00e9s occidentales, alors que la concurrence s\u2019aiguise.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abUn changement du climat politique sur le continent au cours des prochaines ann\u00e9es pourrait mettre \u00e0 mal les \u00e9tablissements d\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur\u00bb<\/em>, avertit Ellie Bothwell, du Times Higher Education. Selon elle, le Brexit pourrait limiter les possibilit\u00e9s de collaborations et de mobilit\u00e9 des chercheurs \u00e0 travers l\u2019Europe et le Royaume-Uni.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abLe populisme d\u2019extr\u00eame-droite menace \u00e9galement la libert\u00e9 acad\u00e9mique dans des \u00c9tats comme la Hongrie.
