Dans l\u2019ensemble, 33.2 millions de personnes \u00e9taient au ch\u00f4mage dans la zone OCDE.\u00a0Dans la zone euro, le taux de ch\u00f4mage \u00e9tait en baisse de 0.1 point de pourcentage en octobre, \u00e0 7.5%. Les taux de ch\u00f4mage \u00e9taient globalement stables dans la majorit\u00e9 des pays, mais une baisse de 0.2 point de pourcentage \u00e9tait observ\u00e9e en Italie, \u00e0 9.7% (faisant suite \u00e0 une hausse de 0.3 point de pourcentage le mois pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent) et en Lituanie, \u00e0 6.4%.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>En dehors de l\u2019Europe, le taux de ch\u00f4mage augmentait en octobre de 0.1 point de pourcentage en Australie (\u00e0 5.3%), en Cor\u00e9e (\u00e0 3.5%) et aux \u00c9tats-Unis (\u00e0 3.6%). Le taux de ch\u00f4mage \u00e9tait stable au Canada (\u00e0 5.5%), au Japon (\u00e0 2.4%) et au Mexique (\u00e0 3.6%), tandis qu\u2019il diminuait de 0.2 point de pourcentage en Isra\u00ebl (\u00e0 3.4%). Des donn\u00e9es plus r\u00e9centes montrent qu\u2019en novembre, le taux de ch\u00f4mage diminuait de 0.1 point de pourcentage aux \u00c9tats-Unis (\u00e0 3.5%), tandis qu\u2019il augmentait de 0.4 point de pourcentage au Canada (\u00e0 5.9%).<\/p>\n<p>En octobre, le taux de ch\u00f4mage de la zone OCDE \u00e9tait \u00e9galement g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement stable pour les principaux groupes de population. Le taux de ch\u00f4mage des jeunes (15-24 ans) de la zone OCDE \u00e9tait stable \u00e0 11.4%, et restait sept points de pourcentage plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 que le taux pour les personnes de 25 ans et plus (stable \u00e0 4.4%).
