Les cybercriminels envoient de plus en plus d’e-mails de phishing au nom de l’application de discussion instantan\u00e9e WhatsApp, l’application appartenant \u00e0 Facebook de plus en plus populaire au sein de nos entreprises afin de stimuler \/ faciliter la collaboration et les interactions sociales. L’appel \u00e0 la prudence est de rigueur.<\/p>\n

Ces derniers mois, le nombre d’attaques de phishing provenant de la part de \u00ab\u00a0WhatsApp\u00a0\u00bb a augment\u00e9 de 13.467%. Au total, les cybercriminels ont envoy\u00e9 plus de 5.000 liens de phishing diff\u00e9rents dans le monde, utilisant le nom de WhatsApp comme exp\u00e9diteur. La filiale de Facebook occupe ainsi la cinqui\u00e8me place parmi les marques les plus imit\u00e9es. Paypal reste le num\u00e9ro 1 incontest\u00e9. Facebook lui-m\u00eame, Microsoft et Netflix compl\u00e8tent le top 5.<\/p>\n

\u201dLes cyber-pirates se font de plus en plus passer pour la marque WhatsApp. Les utilisateurs de l’application de chat populaire devraient en \u00eatre conscients\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Arnout Van de Meulebroucke, PDG de Phished, une start-up qui aide les entreprises \u00e0 sensibiliser leurs employ\u00e9s aux cyber-risques. \u00abSachez que les messages de phishing peuvent \u00eatre \u00e9trangement convaincants. Nous vous d\u00e9conseillons, par exemple, de cliquer sur des liens qui vous donneraient acc\u00e8s \u00e0 de nouveaux groupes WhatsApp. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n

Les URL de phishing imitant les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s de r\u00e9seaux sociaux repr\u00e9sentent – entre autre gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’\u00e9norme augmentation de WhatsApp en tant qu’exp\u00e9diteur – un quart (24,1%) du trafic total d’e-mails de phishing.<\/p>\n

Les cybercriminels ne sont pas sp\u00e9cialement \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019argent \u00e0 se faire tout de suite avec les e-mails de phishing. Ils souhaitent plut\u00f4t extraire les mots de passe, qu’ils essaient ensuite de r\u00e9utiliser dans d’autres services en ligne, tels que les coordonn\u00e9es bancaires. \u00abC’est pourquoi il est tr\u00e8s important d’utiliser diff\u00e9rents mots de passe sur diff\u00e9rents sites Web et services\u00bb<\/em>, explique Van de Meulebroucke.<\/p>\n

Le rapport montre \u00e9galement que les hame\u00e7onneurs sont surtout actifs le vendredi et pendant le week-end. \u00ab\u00a0Cela est conforme \u00e0 nos propres donn\u00e9es, les destinataires sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement moins prudents avec leurs e-mails pendant le week-end.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n
