Selon les donn\u00e9es collect\u00e9es par Statbel, depuis le troisi\u00e8me trimestre 2017, le taux de ch\u00f4mage des femmes est inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui des hommes. Pourtant, les hommes ont encore plus souvent un emploi. 74,8% des hommes \u00e2g\u00e9s de 20 \u00e0 64 ans avaient un emploi au troisi\u00e8me trimestre de 2019 contre 66,6% des femmes de la m\u00eame tranche d\u2019\u00e2ge. Ces r\u00e9sultats sont bas\u00e9s sur l&rsquo;Enqu\u00eate sur les forces de travail.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Le statut professionnel de l\u2019emploi principal varie aussi fortement selon le sexe, comme le montrent les chiffres de 2018. Si les femmes repr\u00e9sentent 57% des travailleurs du secteur public, seul un ind\u00e9pendant sur trois est une femme.<br \/>\nLes femmes sont principalement actives dans les secteurs des soins de sant\u00e9 et de l\u2019action sociale, de l\u2019enseignement et du commerce.<\/p>\n<p>Les femmes sont majoritaires parmi le personnel administratif, le personnel de service et de vente, les professions intellectuelles, scientifiques et artistiques ainsi que les professions \u00e9l\u00e9mentaires (aides m\u00e9nag\u00e8res, \u2026). Elles ne repr\u00e9sentent par contre qu\u2019une infime partie des m\u00e9tiers qualifi\u00e9s de l&rsquo;industrie et de l&rsquo;artisanat, des conducteurs d&rsquo;installations et de machines, et des ouvriers de l&rsquo;assemblage, des agriculteurs et des ouvriers qualifi\u00e9s de l&rsquo;agriculture ou des professions militaires. Enfin, seul un manager sur 3 est une femme.<\/p>\n<p>Les hommes et les femmes qui recherchent un autre emploi veulent surtout un nouvel emploi parce qu\u2019ils souhaitent d&rsquo;autres conditions de travail et un emploi qui correspond mieux \u00e0 leurs qualifications. Les femmes veulent aussi changer d\u2019emploi pour pouvoir prester plus d\u2019heures. Les hommes, par contre, recherchent plus souvent un nouvel emploi parce qu\u2019ils consid\u00e8rent leur emploi actuel comme un emploi transitoire ou parce qu\u2019ils recherchent un emploi compl\u00e9mentaire.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Plus de femmes ont un dipl\u00f4me de l&rsquo;enseignement sup\u00e9rieur mais avec un salaire horaire inf\u00e9rieur.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En Belgique, 54,4% des femmes \u00e2g\u00e9es de 30 \u00e0 34 ans sont titulaires d\u2019un dipl\u00f4me de l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur, contre 40,6% des hommes de la m\u00eame tranche d\u2019\u00e2ge. En 2018, les interruptions pr\u00e9matur\u00e9es de scolarit\u00e9 repr\u00e9sentaient 6,5% chez les femmes \u00e2g\u00e9es de 18 \u00e0 24 ans contre 10,6% chez les hommes. Par ailleurs, 53% des femmes au travail ont un dipl\u00f4me de l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur pour 41% des travailleurs masculins.<\/p>\n<p>En 2018, une femme a cependant gagn\u00e9 en moyenne 6,0% de moins par heure de travail prest\u00e9e qu\u2019un homme. Pourtant, la Belgique affiche de meilleurs r\u00e9sultats que la plupart des autres pays europ\u00e9ens en ce qui concerne l&rsquo;\u00e9galit\u00e9 salariale entre les femmes et les hommes. L&rsquo;\u00e9cart salarial entre les sexes au sein de l&rsquo;UE s&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e8ve en effet \u00e0 14,8%.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Deux femmes sur cinq travaillent \u00e0 temps partiel.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>43,5% des femmes salari\u00e9es travaillaient \u00e0 temps partiel en 2018. Chez les hommes par contre, 11% seulement travaillaient \u00e0 temps partiel. Dans les secteurs de l\u2019horeca et de la sant\u00e9 humaine et de l\u2019action sociale, plus de la moiti\u00e9 des salari\u00e9s travaillaient \u00e0 temps partiel.
