Une augmentation majeure qui s\u2019explique par diff\u00e9rents facteurs. A l\u2019occasion de la parution de ses chiffres 2019, l\u2019Institut fait le point et pr\u00e9sente ses futurs d\u00e9fis.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>2349, c\u2019est le nombre de signalements comptabilis\u00e9s par l\u2019Institut en 2019. C\u2019est pr\u00e8s du triple des signalement re\u00e7us en 2018. Parmi ces 2349 signalements, nous retrouvons 370 demandes d\u2019information juridique, 254 plaintes et 1725 communications. Cette explosion des signalements place plus encore l\u2019Institut en premi\u00e8re ligne sans pour autant que les moyens financiers et humains suivent.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0L\u2019Institut est, depuis sa cr\u00e9ation \u00e0 la pointe de la lutte contre toutes les formes de discriminations li\u00e9es au genre. Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les politiques et les citoyen-n-es ont pris conscience des diff\u00e9rents probl\u00e8mes d\u2019in\u00e9galit\u00e9s et de discriminations qui gangr\u00e8nent notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9 ; la parole des victimes et des t\u00e9moins s\u2019est lib\u00e9r\u00e9e. Ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne a conduit \u00e0 une augmentation exponentielle de la charge de travail de l\u2019Institut ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9largissement de ses comp\u00e9tences\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em>\u00a0affirme Michel Pasteel, directeur de l\u2019Institut pour l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des femmes et des hommes.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Le sexisme : \u00e9volution vers une prise de conscience collective<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>En 2019, 69% de l\u2019ensemble des signalements re\u00e7us concernaient des cas de sexisme contre seulement 20% en 2018. Cette explosion du nombre de signalements relatifs au sexisme est en partie due aux retomb\u00e9es de l\u2019affaire Jeff Hoeyberghs qui a g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 elle seule 1489 signalements. Mais elle refl\u00e8te aussi la prise de conscience collective et le refus grandissant des citoyen-ne-s par rapport \u00e0 des d\u00e9rapages, propos et actes violents et discriminatoires.<\/p>\n<p>14% de tous les signalements concernent l\u2019emploi.
