Niet alleen kandidaten laten verstek gaan. <em>\u201cDe opmars van AI is een belangrijke aanjager van dit fenomeen\u201d<\/em>, zo zegt Tamara de Man.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In de Stand van Werven 2026 is ghosting voor het eerst als aparte categorie opgenomen in de lijst van uitdagingen, veelzeggend voor hoe serieus het probleem is geworden. En de cijfers zijn duidelijk. 22% van de recruiters ervaart dat kandidaten na een uitnodiging of aanbod zonder bericht afhaken. Dat treft het wervingsproces direct: no-shows bij gesprekken, stilte na een aanbod en afgebroken contacten kosten tijd, geld en capaciteit die recruiters zich in een normaliserende arbeidsmarkt steeds minder kunnen veroorloven.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>AI stuwt de opmars<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Een belangrijke aanjager is de opmars van AI aan de kandidatenkant: 22% van de recruiters krijgt te maken met massaal gegenereerde sollicitaties, 65% herkent gestandaardiseerde AI-motivatiebrieven en 46% ziet opvallend gepolijste cv&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>De remedie voor werkgevers ligt niet in technologie, maar in menselijk contact. Organisaties die investeren in duurzame kandidaat relaties zien dit terug in resultaten: referral recruitment levert structureel de meeste uitblinkers (56%), juist omdat het gebaseerd is op persoonlijk contact. Het belang van talent relationship management steeg significant als genoemde uitdaging: van 12% naar 18%. Tamara de Man: <em>\u201cWie honderden automatisch gegenereerde sollicitaties uitstuurt, draagt bij aan een overbelast wervingsproces en een grotere kans dat contact van beide kanten wegvalt.
