Workday, leverancier van enterprise cloud-applicaties voor finance en human resources, publiceert vandaag de resultaten van zijn nieuwste onderzoek onder senior finance en IT-leiders. Het onderzoek gaat in op de stand van zaken van digitale financi\u00eble transformatie in Europa, hoe die inspanningen worden be\u00efnvloed door finance en IT, en hoe afstemming tussen de CFO en CIO centraal staat bij transformatiesucces.<\/p>\n

Het wereldwijde onderzoek omvatte 480 respondenten uit de EMEA-regio en leverde de volgende bevindingen op:<\/p>\n

  1. Digitale financi\u00ebn zijn bedrijfskritisch. Slechts 4% van de Europese organisaties heeft een robuuste digitale financi\u00eble transformatiestrategie of voerde de afgelopen twee jaar veel digitale transformatie-initiatieven uit. 16% van de Europese organisaties ontwikkelde helemaal geen financi\u00eble transformatiestrategie. Daarmee ligt de regio achter op Noord-Amerika, waar slechts 10% geen strategie heeft ontwikkeld. In de Benelux doen organisaties het iets beter: hier heeft slechts 7% van de ondervraagde organisaties geen strategie voor financi\u00eble transformatie ontwikkeld.<\/li>\n
  2. Afstemming tussen CFO en CIO moet een topprioriteit zijn. Volgens het onderzoek is er een positief verband tussen de mate van afstemming tussen finance en IT en de volwassenheid van de financi\u00eble transformatie van een organisatie. Maar Europese organisaties benutten deze kans niet optimaal: in 89% van de bedrijven zijn finance en IT niet altijd op elkaar afgestemd of werken ze niet regelmatig samen, vergeleken met 87% van de bedrijven in Noord-Amerika en 85% van de bedrijven in Azi\u00eb-Pacific en Japan (APJ). In de Benelux geldt dit zelfs voor 93% van de organisaties. 42% van de respondenten uit de Benelux geeft dan ook aan dat de CIO meestal niet aan tafel zit tijdens kritieke finance meetings, zelfs wanneer technologie essentieel is voor het oplossen van bestaande uitdagingen.<\/li>\n
  3. Doelstellingen van digitale transformatie. Om de digitale mogelijkheden voor finance te benutten, moeten Europese finance- en IT-leiders samenwerken op drie kerngebieden van transformatie:\n

    1. Financi\u00eble en niet-financi\u00eble gegevens<\/strong> benutten om betere financi\u00eble beslissingen te kunnen nemen. 55% van de Europese finance-leiders zegt dat beperkte en\/of verouderde informatie het vermogen van hun teams belemmert om accurate prognoses te maken.<\/li>\n
    2. Wendbaarheid en snelheid:<\/strong> Financi\u00eble technologie inzetten voor betere organisatorische afstemming en resultaten. 52% van de Europese finance-leiders zegt dat ze op financieel gebied nog steeds beslissingen nemen op onderbuikgevoel, omdat de gegevens die ze nodig hebben in silo’s zitten, het verkeerde format hebben of niet tijdig beschikbaar zijn. In de Benelux geldt dat voor 44% van de finance-leiders.<\/li>\n
    3. Talent:<\/strong> Medewerkers en teams uitrusten met tools en vaardigheden om samen te werken en te innoveren. Momenteel is minder dan 50% van de finance- en IT-leiders in EMEA, en zelfs maar 33% in de Benelux, ervan overtuigd dat ze over de vaardigheden beschikken die ze nodig hebben om gelijke tred te houden met nieuwe en opkomende financi\u00eble technologie\u00ebn.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
